Ted is terrified when he must make good after losing a bet, but his forfeit is to kick Bishop Brennan in the behind.
Beloved sitcom focused on three priests living on Craggy Island, a remote island off the west coast of Ireland. Father Ted Crilly is sent to the island as punishment for using charitable funds for a holiday in Las Vegas, but his true punishment comes in the form of Father Dougal Maguire and Jack Hackett, one a fresh-faced naive young priest, and the other a foul-mouthed, rage-filled alcoholic. Mrs Doyle is their nosy housekeeper, who makes plentiful pots of tea and never takes `no' for an answer. I think the episodes with him in it tend to be some of the best. When he's there, the whole thing is a chaos of "rock paper scissors" with all of them seemingly bouncing around at random, except it always comes together at the end in that wonderful way that British comedies tend to do. I think having the Bishop always upped the ante in terms of "how on earth are they going to tie these elements together" and made the stakes of failure so much worse for ted/more hilarious for us

This episode had me dying the whole way through anyway, but the part when Bishop Brennan finally “wakes up” and realizes Ted really *did* kick him up the arse, and the subsequent scenes after... holy crap. You know those abs hurting, tears flowing, start coughing sort of laughter moments? ? That was me, I just lost it !!😂 😂 😂 I love this show... I love it so, so much.. It’s just so beautifully funny and endearing, with a lasting quality that I don’t think will ever leave 🙏🏼💚💚💚
