We used gearbox oil in small quantities from large containers, and it became contaminated and binned. So the company asked the supplier to supply the oil in 1L bottles, which were exactly the same as the air compressor oil, label an all except the name gearbox oil. Caused a commotion when empty compressor oil bottles were found next to the gearboxes. Luckily spotted before vehicle moved. All gearboxes drained, flushed, and re-filled with correct oil. Bit silly putting diesel in a coolant container, but these things happen. Great work as always Warren, jealous of your torque, they are amazing, I just can’t justify the price.

Always good to see one leave. There's a lot of "feel" to the work. The way a plumbing fitting makes up; how a wire seats in a fixture; even the way a nail or screw sets into wood--they all havea "feel" that's hard to quantify. Except by experience. And experience shows.

Warren use one of the bolts from the cover to hold the turning tool in, And as far as thefuel in the antifreeze have never seen it happen.I work for a company that has a fleet of 60 peterbilt triaxles with paccars only problem we ever had was head gaskets and heads. And if you ever get one of those heads plained they do not get plained flat it takes a special machine to plain them. I learned the hard way. Had a local machine shop do one of my heads and had the same problem pushing antifreeze out the expansion tank, found out from paccar the those heads are machined with a arch in them.

Putting diesel fuel in a anti-freeze jug and putting it in the cab of the truck can be dangerous. Especially if more than one person is driving the truck. As the old saying goes, shit happens. Warren suspected it from the beginning. I drove for a company where there were 6 drivers and trucks. People would bounce from one truck to another at times. Over the years I found out that it’s a bad idea as far if a truck gets fu__ed up and the “ truck boss” is looking to get pissed off at somebody. Fresh oil in a used anti-freeze container is another one. I’ve been there and done that. Like I said before , sh__ happens. Good detective work on the Pacar engine. That’s why you get paid the big bucks Warren 👍👍

Actually you might not regret changing the injector lines. When the injector lines spring a leak and it immediately goes into torch mode, that paccar becomes a charred piece of scrap. Then the owner can buy a real engine, where the software can actually troubleshoot it. Also helps to guess on the torque on all those injector lines. Hardly any pressure there.....barely more than an old 3208 cat..
