The good bye part was more obvious in the dub. They were asking themselves whether it was a good bye or a GOODBYE. It turned into 'see you tomorrow' because neither of them actually wanted for it to be a real good bye.

at the end, Ken uses the word 'sayonara' for 'goodbye.' 'Sayonara' isn't a word one should use for everyday goodbyes or casual farewells. It's more like a "goodbye and we'll probably never see each other again". That's why he says 'sayonara' and then leaves thinking about what he just said, kinda regretting it. He really likes Momo's company
