Beautiful!!!! They give this song its proper emotional resonance. This is a sad song, about lost unrequited love. Other artists try to put a religious or Christmas vibe to it, just because the word hallelujah is prominent in the lyrics. Pentatonix are undoubtedly an awesomely talented group of singers, but I’ll take Jeff Buckley’s version all day. He gives the song the proper emotion, which is heartache and sadness.
