Its mainly because PAC repped the West Coast and X repped the East Coast. However Its Painfully Obvious He Was a Fan of 2-PAC 100%. Its not a DISS or Knock on X because he grew into his OWN overall Individual artist and developed his own niche with The DOGs etc. X also took the GOD aspect and went even further than PAC on many levels. All these rappers took 2pac blueprint, most rappers back then had one mode and were one dimensional, 2pac hit the scene and he was versatile, he made songs about women, social issues and street shit. He rapped about everything which made rappers that came after like like 50 cent, Ja Rule, wayne etc follow his example, even DMX. Biggie took Pac blueprint after pac told him to make songs for the women as well. If you were not around then, you wouldn't understand how inluential pac was, especially after he passed away, a lot of people took his style. I mean if you listen to Makaveli pac had started singing in some of his hooks. just like daddy, krazy etc way before 50 cent, ja rule.

DMX was presented and marketed by the industry as a new Pac. He wasn't necessarily aware of it. The aggressive delivery, bandana, timz, jeans, shirtless, etc. Ja Rule was also at first marketed that way to cash in, but he overplayed the ballads and didn't think he'd have to deal with the tsunami called 50. DMX though had his own struggles and content and was genuine. Ja Rule was focused on sales via R&B collabs, until it was too late and 50 ended his music career.

No he wasn't, Pacs image was Never as gimey as X's debut
@blayzej13 күн бұрын
@beefwrap I said he was marketed as... if you know the first thing about marketing it is obvious... that doesn't mean that DMX wasn't real and skilled, but record companies were eager to get a rapper to have that same image and sell 8 million copies. Same as Shyne having a voice similar to Big's or Guerilla Black who looked somewhat similar to Biggie. These are all marketing tactics by the industry.

I feel him on that Pac and X are individually different legends.

@@Jeff_Thomas Are you SERIOUS ??? Most Black ppl are poor we never inherited any wealth 🙄💀 Both artists grew up in poverty as did most the difference with Tupac was that both his parents grew up in the 50's and were apart of the Political Black Panther Party.
