The stick dancing on the snare is very unique. Also I find it interesting that the hi-hat opens predominantly for the verses, but closes predominantly for the first couple choruses. Then I notice the hi-hat opens just a hair, as Rick Marotta's on Peg would. Very cool! The beat seems very chaotic isolated, but as another person put it, it really serves the song

I had to *see* Purdie play this beat in order to understand how he does those ghostnotes while also hitting the snare normally. At first I thought he was using both hands on the snare but nope... Even though he looks very relaxed while playing this, his sticks are moving lightning fast 😅

Well, short answer, it's originally from the digital archives of Roger Nichols. Where the uploader got them is another thing, but Rick Beato has several of the multitracks, as do most of the larger studio guys in the world, because they share stuff like this with each other for fun. So it's likely just one of those multi tracks that are commonly shared internally amongst studio pros that slipped out of their hands and into the real world.
