Dororo is a girl and it was hidden when she was born because the samurai werent too kind to women brigands. This is how dororo knew what was happening when she saw Mio doing her night job. Also during one episode Itachi captures dororo and strips her clothes off as a way to mentally torture information out of her. When itachi does this he mentions he “never knew you were a girl, dororo”
