@@christianquirion526 With today's technology a large portion of the music we hear is altered/infiltrated with unnatural sounds which in my opinion takes the trueness out of it...this young man sat down and played one piece in its entirety on one instrument using only his ability and talent...without being distracted by the crowd that gathered or by the gentleman who joined in and he never missed a beat....to me that's "true".

Thinking he might be their piano teacher and he takes them out to expose them to playing in public. Kid is amazing.
@MrYfrank142 жыл бұрын
The guy that jumps in is a concert pianist that likes to disguise himself and hang around public pianos. Sometimes he acts like he can't play to get a stranger involved. Sometimes he teaches somebody something, sometimes he shows someone that can play a song how to change it to make it jazzier. And sometimes he joins in, like this video.

@JamesLewis5 жыл бұрын
@jj smith I think if you watch some of Olivier's videos, and Dr. K's as well... you will see that they know each other, as Brendan has been encouraging him for some time... please consider that there comes a point where it stops being about a child showing off their growing musical ability, and starts being about learning to play with others... IMO, it's actually a great vote of confidence in Olivier, that Brendan thought he could join in like that without throwing him off. I can see how in isolation it might appear a bit strange, but it's pretty much the norm here.

I took piano lessons for 5 years when I was a kid, and I NEVER could do anything even remotely close to what he can do! I wasn’t even in the same universe! @jhcofd66553 жыл бұрын
You probably could have been taught for 15 years and not be in the same ballpark, it just is about the amount of time spent at the piano, lessons aren't the teaching part, it's on you to learn but most teachers are to help perfect pieces and learn theory, I'm going on 12 years and can sorta do this but not really well. Stay safe!
@itzrainbowdragon19153 жыл бұрын
It depends on the type of instructor you had. This kid had a jazz pianist instructor. This is the jazz version of jingle bells. I was taught by a gospel pianist but I play by ear. My style still leans towards gospel. That being said I learned piano for 13 years and still can’t play jazz. Has as much to do with level, as it has to do with style. Jazz and classical are my favorites but I can’t play them well due to lack of training in that area.
