It helps if they align, but the Holy Spirit does not need me or anyone else who testifies of Jesus Christ to be squeaky-clean, teetotaling saints. All that's required is sincerity and truth. But when words align with actions and habits, it does tend to make the witness more effective. It goes from testifying to testimony. If the heart changes, it stands to reason that thoughts, actions and lives will change in due time. Kid Rock did exactly what he was supposed to do. Some of the most oppressive spirits I've ever felt rest upon atheists/agnostics...it takes conviction to even broach the subject of Jesus with them because they don't recognize or acknowledge the difference between religion and FAITH...so invariably, casual scorn and mockery are to be expected. So simply by expressing your faith, you are testing your faith. Will you respond with grace and good cheer, exuding the peace from within which you've claimed by faith? Or will you lash out or otherwise embody a shift towards a negative or adversarial disposition, and match the pride of the non-believer? Kid Rock is like me, what I and others call a "Bad Christian". But he doesn't try to obscure his flaws or his rough edges for the sake of appearances...and rightfully so, as man is not his judge. Granted, the Bible does indeed say that God's grace does not need our rebellion and sin in order to multiply. So in being a bit flippant and humorous, Bob Ritchie did indeed fail to communicate sound doctrine in that respect. Assuredness of salvation can have that effect.

I've always found the concept of blasphemy funny, like, god is so vain that he believes a mere human criticizing him is a sin more unforgivable than any other. like, come on god, rape and murder is significantly worse than you being offended. also if god is smart, im sure he would understand, its pretty hard to believe in him given the utter lack of him showing up. (if you do research into the old testament it makes more sense. Elohim or EL was a different god than Yahweh. This is why the god of Genesis, Exodus and Deuteronomy seems like an egomaniac, but in later books is characterized by his love and kindness (Elohim). Over time the people who worshipped both gods merged and the myths converged. I say all of this to say, in the books written about Yahweh, they actually believed other gods existed, but yahweh commanded the people to put him on a pedestal "above" other gods, which is why blasephmy was such a big deal. Its all very complicated and im not a scholar but its interesting seeing how these myths formed.

I’ve had spiritual encounters with Jesus! He saved me and completely changed my life! I’ve also seen/felt/experienced demons after I got deceived by new age religion.. I went through a 3 day demonic spiritual oppression and Jesus saved me.. then I had encounters with him throughout time later on.. and just recently remembered knowledge given to me through prayer as a child while going through hard times..and the knowledge ended up coming true.
