Right on. At the end of the day, there are at least 6 sides to every story. People will tend to side with story that most reflects their experience. Without the ability to converse and discuss respectfully, we don't get the opportunity to find out what a person's experience has been that steers them to side with a certain perspective or relate more to specific candidates. and of course, the freedom to speak, for me, always takes precedence over what is being said in the event of a ideological discrepancy.
