I mean think about it, the longer a character is written the more stories they’ll be in and the more their in the more they’ll face stronger and more dire threats and what characters have been around longer? Most comic ones. Not only that but with comics you’ll sometimes have a character featured in multiple frequent iterations at once unlike most anime manga. So given all that it makes sense with how long many of these characters have existed that their feats just outscale most of their anime counterparts.

They'd done a good few years of obvious outcomes before that point, and were getting pretty lax with their explanations in scriptwriting (not in research, to clarify). I guarantee that Ben 10 VS Green Lantern is the reason they're so detailed now, and why episodes that should have been controversial (Wally West VS Archie Sonic, Phoenix VS Raven, Dio VS Alucard, Goku VS Superman 3, just to name a few) were instead very well-recieved. I'm kinda glad that episode is as bad as it was, because ever since, Death Battle has been so _good_ .

This battle has it’s issues, they calculated the size of the Dragonball Universe but never bothered to do the same with the Marvel Universe just assuming it was the same size as ours while it is in fact at least around 10’000x ours. Not to mention they misinterpreted how the God forms worked when scaling Broly to Goku, SSG doesn’t become Goku’s new base form Goku can simply tap into the power of SSG in his base using a state called Saiyan Beyond God, it doesn’t stack with the other transformations in fact attempting to stack SSJ with this state will simply result in SSB. Now exactly who is stronger is hard to gauge scaling the Hulk to a more accurate Marvel universe will make him over 1’000’000x universal but without knowing the exact multipliers of the current Super Saiyan forms scaling Broly is difficult, scaling Wrathful Broly to SSB Goku and making the assumptions that SSJ perfectly stack with SSG and the Wrathful state respectively SSJ Broly should be over 30’000x universal but we don’t know how much stronger his Full Power form is and there’s no reliable way to scale him. I’m bringing this up to point out that attempting to scale these kind of characters is pointless, they are both way above universal and both get stronger with rage, arguing over who’s stronger in a waste of time, you have to look at the respective abilities, Hulk’s main advantages is his regeneration and stamina in a war of attrition the Hulk is winning but Broly’s main advantage is his flight and ranged attacks if he fights smart and use his abilities to his advantage he could be in complete control of the fight at all times perhaps enough to overwhelm the Hulk. At the end of the day this fight can go either way.

@@croc2112 I was purposely lowball the marvel universe using death battle’s figures from a later battle, I also mentioned that the multipliers for Broly’s forms are unknown and near impossible to scale, my point is using death battle’s own logic it’s impossible to determine who’s stronger especially when both characters have no upper limit to their power.

@@croc2112 that really depends on how you scale each universe, there is an argument to be made that both the Marvel and Dragonball universes are infinite in size, although the Marvel’s cosmology is still bigger with it’s multiple layers of infinitely size dimensions while the Dragonball universe only consists of about 3-7 dimensions depending on the canon and how you interpret things. Scaling characters like these mostly come down to interpretations and how you choose to measure cosmologies, but yes even using the most generous measurements for both universes the Hulk does have the advantage but at the same time the gap isn’t insurmountable so Broly’s rage may be able to bring the gap but then again the Hulk can get stronger as well so the balance of power shifts against, at the end of the day this is a battle between two potential infinite opponents.

DB has admitted that they screwed up Hulk’s scaling because they thought that Marvel and DC’s universe were the same as our universe and DB was larger. It’s why they point it out so much in the Thor and Superman death battles. Hulk also scales to Surfer in reaction speed… so he’s killing Broly fairly easily at his strongest levels

I remember when Cell was only galaxy level, now since people are looking at statements at face value, he’s capable of shattering a multiverse even though he himself said his strength would cap at galaxy with his final attack. Its also important to know Dragon Ball isn’t this pillar that cannot be beaten by anyone because thats just not true. Nobody in Dragon Ball is invincible, even characters like Beerus have been physically harmed by stuff that should not harm him.
