It's so funny thou. Because so many anime characters especially from Dragon Ball and One Piece apply as "Over Powered" but when you see here some infos about the original Hulk from the 60's.. Hulk, Super Man, Wonder Woman, these characters were long before these anime OP

I really like the new version of Broly, he’s a lot more like able. The thing on Broly’s waist his alien dog friend ear, his father shot it off because playing with it wasn’t training and afterwards it wasn’t friendly towards Broly, so he keeps it to remember the time they where still friends

Even without Frieza's control and influence, the vast majority of Saiyans were ruthless and bloodthirsty warriors who loved fighting and had no qualms about killing those weaker than them. This is best shown with Vegeta during the Namek saga, as he mercilessly kills off some of his enemies after they have been defeated, even after they've already been rendered incapable of fighting back or defending themselves. Particularly with Recoome & Burter, as the two of them were outright unconscious thanks to Goku, and Vegeta still executed them. Some of the very few Saiyans who *weren't* like that were Goku's parents, Bardock & Gine, particularly his mother Gine (who was about as kind and gentle as Goku himself, and her "softness" even rubbed off on the gruff and taciturn Bardock). It's also worth noting that Bardock & Gine were the only Saiyans shown to actually be married and devoted to each other through their mutual love. To other Saiyans, they only had children for the sake of continuing the race, and there was never any real emotional connection between them or their children. That's even why the two of them died when Planet Vegeta was destroyed, Bardock anticipated Frieza's betrayal and sent the infant Goku to Earth, knowing that his power level (which was only "2") was too low to catch the notice of Frieza or his men, especially if Bardock himself was distracting them by fighting the Frieza Force directly. Bardock also knew that if either Bardock or Gine were to try and go with the infant Goku, they *would* be noticed by Frieza and blown out of the sky due to Bardock & Gine's power levels simply being too high, particularly since Bardock's power level while going all-out was around 10,000 (while Gine's power level isn't actually stated outright, she is known to be a "weakling" by Saiyan standards, so she most likely only had a power level in the 500-1,000 range, but even her power level would have still been high enough to be noticed if she tried to flee the planet). And both Bardock & Gine vowed that if Bardock's prediction about Frieza's betrayal proved to be wrong, then they would immediately follow him to Earth and bring him home. Unfortunately, neither of them survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta, and Goku ultimately lost his memories of them after he hit his head as a child, so he doesn't even remember the sacrifice his parents made for him. Paragus happened to have been a general in the Saiyan military, so he was very hard-line, pragmatic, and brutal with how he raised Broly. He even murdered a fellow Saiyan who had helped him to search for Broly simply because it was one less mouth to feed after they were both left stranded on Vampa with Broly. He *did* genuinely care about Broly's safety, as he tried to call Broly back from fighting Goku & Vegeta once he began to fear that Broly might be killed by Goku or Vegeta. But even so, the lengths Paragus went to during his time with Broly were brutal and cruel, and proven to be unnecessary if he had only given Broly more time to spend with Cheelai & Lemo, as Cheelai in particular was helping to temper Broly's temper (though endangering her quickly became one of his "rage triggers" in the process) and was a very good influence on him. Paragus basically focused on turning Broly into a warrior, and he viewed things like Broly's bond with Baas as a "weakness", and so he "disposed" of him by driving Baas away. Paragus pretty much forced Broly into the position of only having Paragus himself for company. Fortunately, Broly survived the events of the movie despite losing to Gogeta, and he has since formed a better relationship with Goku (who found Broly, Cheelai, & Lemo on Vampa and offered to train and teach Broly to better control his rage & power), so there's a very real chance that he will be back sooner or later, more than likely as one of the "good guys" this time around, especially if Broly learns that it was actually *Frieza* who killed his father (Frieza duped Broly into thinking that Paragus was inadvertently killed by Broly himself, so Broly actually believes that *he* is the one who killed his father). But as for the match-up itself, it really came down to just how absurd the power scaling is in Dragonball compared to Marvel. Dragonball has *many* characters who are at least "planet buster" level (this even includes characters like Krillin, Roshi, Tien, & Yamcha, whom are the strongest normal humans in Universe 7, but they are still some of the weakest characters around by the time Super rolls around), let alone "galaxy buster" or "universe buster" level. Most of the strongest Z Fighters like Goku and Vegeta easily fall into the "universe buster" category as they can directly compete with the likes of Beerus himself, whom is a literal God of Destruction (though Beerus is still stronger than them in a one-on-one fight, Whis has stated that if the two of them were to work together there is a very real possibility that they could defeat Beerus). And Beerus is capable of killing anyone/thing, as Whis has outright stated "Ghost or not, there is nothing that Lord Beerus cannot destroy." as Beerus was literally erasing a human's ghost from existence entirely (as in, no afterlife, they simply ceased to exist entirely and nothing short of the Super Dragon Balls can bring them back). Marvel on the other hand mostly just has characters around the level of a "planet buster". There are exceptions like the Sentry, Hyperion, Beyonder, Protege, etc. But most of the more well-known characters aren't even "planet buster" level. But even Hulk was horrendously outclassed by Broly. Plus, there's one trait that all Saiyans have that could have factored in here if *if* Hulk happened to have been stronger, something called a "Zenkai Boost", which is triggered by one of two conditions: when the Saiyan in question recovers from a near-fatal injury, and whenever the Saiyan fights a more powerful opponent, the Zenkai Boost will give them a significant and permanent increase in their fighting strength to compensate. This is best shown by Vegeta during the Namek arc, where Vegeta loses his first fight with Zarbon, but due to Zarbon not finishing Vegeta off, Vegeta benefits from a Zenkai Boost so that the next time Vegeta fights Zarbon, Vegeta makes sport of Zarbon before killing him, even after Zarbon powers up by transforming. And yes, there *are* characters who could feasibly defeat Broly, even aside from Gogeta. Namely Beerus, Whis, & Jiren. Broly is incredibly strong, but there *are* still characters who could get the better of him if the need arises. Another big factor in this fight is that while Broly can be knocked into weaker forms if he takes too much damage, he's so tough and resilient that it's *very* hard to actually do so, as only Gogeta himself was able to pull it off. Even while he was completely berserk and out of control, Broly still wiped the floor with SSB Goku, SSB Vegeta, *and* Golden Frieza with minimal difficulty. Hulk on the other hand can simply become "burned out" if he's angry for too long, and just turn back into Banner.

It was a good Death Battle, I personally like the Hulk Vs Doomsday battle more, it's music choice for the battle is more fitting, the sound mixing is better for the impacts, and as a dragon ball fan it does itch at me when Broly said "I'll Kill You" in his Berserker state, he shouldn't really be Able to form complete sentences in that state

I'm bias on this Death Battle because these are my two fav characters in ANY series (Outside Dante from DMC). I literally have these two tattoo'd on my back of them fighting. These two characters were my "spirit animals" growing up because of all the bullying and suffering I dealt with. So I got them tattoo'd on my back to resemble that I made it through the pain and to remind me that even if I am called a "freak" or a "monster"...I can still have a good heart and soul. But I love this DB just out of the curiosity of how they were going to end it. hope you two enjoyed it!!

When I first saw this, I didn't know much about Broly since I never finished Dragon Ball Z, only the "important" arcs. Plus in the comics Hulk killed Franklin Richards (at the time the most powerful being and mutant) and Galactus as the Immortal Hulk. This made Clint kill Hulk and ultimately have him cut into pieces. Yet he was still alive. So, just as Bethany I was biased as well

Very good. But yes, Goku could not beat Broly one on one when he fought him which is why he had to fuse with Vegeta into "Gogeta" to win". Goku does have another form (Higher than Blue) called Ultra Instinct but at the time the 2nd Goku vs. Superman was made before Goku achieved it. The problem is in the anime continuity Goku has yet to be able to activate the form at will. So he couldn't access it during the Broly fight. So Broly vs. Superman would definitely be interesting.

@@bootyburglar561 Even if Superman was slower than Ultra Instinct, which is a HUGE assumption to make when he can semi-keep up with the Flash, it wouldn't be enough. Superman has access to a subconscious power called the "Story of Superman" that doesn't derive from Kryptonian biology at all, and he is the only person in all of DC to have it. Essentially, this power is hope combined with power, and the way it works is that if he is in a situation where absolutely no other way for justice to prevail exists, Superman awakens the power to subconsciously bend the story around himself to force a victory. This power is so ludicrous that even literal creator deities like the Overvoid admit to standing no chance against it if Superman awakens this state fully, which you can verify at WebCamParrot's channel.

To be honest I think they got this wrong. The marvel universe is at least 1-2 trillions of times larger than ours. The “infinite void shaking” thing, was also a mistranslation. The place that goku fought jiren was called the world of void was stated to be eternal with nothing in it. No space or time(besides the one that was made by the grand priest) so nothing was really being shaken there. Nothing suggests that it’s infinite in size. Even if it was, the marvel universe has likely been stated to be infinite as well. So even with hulk having that weakness of possibly turning back into banner, I don’t think Broly could push him to that level. I’m not a marvel fan and don’t read the comics, but being a DC fan and just knowing how comics, especially the big 2, work I think hulk should of won that. As far as Superman vs broly, Superman would win that. One of Superman’s feats not a lot of people know is that time he punched literal Death in the face. He’s got way more insane feats that put him above broly.

To be honest, it kind of felt like strength was no longer a factor in who wins because both characters get stronger the angrier they get. To me, it felt like Broly could overwhelm Hulk's healing factor considering Broly destroyed planets, galaxies, and overpowered universe busters, and broke reality. Also, Broly has more abilities than Hulk.

Actually no, they calculated the actual size of the Marvel Universe in the Q&A, the same math they used for Thor vs Vegeta and the still came to the conclusion that Broly was stronger and would still kill Hulk before his strength raised up in time

When it comes to universe sizes death battle hasn't been doing the best math, especially considering they still think the DC universe is only 100 trillion lightyears when it's in fact 200 trillion. In that same comic series where they get the scan of superman having been teleported 100 trillion lightyears from earth, he is then transported back and mentions how he was taken halfway across the universe. Though it has been stated multiple times to be infinite, like the marvel universe. The db universes though aren't stated to be infinite. Hell champa and vados seemingly flew from one universe to the next, meaning there is a point where one universe ends and another begins. The universes in all 3 are very different from each other.

As for who can beat Broly, well, at least within the Dragon Ball series there are divine beings like angels and other gods who would have little trouble defeating Broly. During the movie Broly attempted to attack one of the angels but it was very obvious that the angel was toying with him. Though the angel didn't hit Broly, he managed to avoid every attack with barely any effort. Goku and Vegeta are both stronger in current chapters of the manga than they were at the time of their encounter with Broly but it is unknown if they have managed to reach his level as another new villain made a wish to become the strongest in the universe . We don't know if that includes Broly but we assume it does. Goku and Vegeta are keeping up with this new villain but are not overpowering him despite them fighting at their strongest forms and at the same time. So the implication here is that if they're not as strong as Broly then they are at least quite close. In the upcoming movie we are apparently going to see the 3 of them sparring together so we'll likely get a more accurate answer. We'll also see Broly possibly fighting one of the gods so we'll find out where he stands in comparison to him since Goku claims Broly could give the god a decent fight.

The movie version is following the anime continuity so, it won't really say much in the way of whether or not the manga versions of Goku/Vegeta are at Broly's level. My assumption is, they are not. I'm fairly certain Goku has been training from time to time with Broly in the manga (off-panel) and Broly's strength and abilities have only increased since. But I will say, I think the current manga Goku/Vegeta are close to the level Broly was at when he was fighting Blue Gogeta.

They made it look like they are equal to make it more fun. Also that's Dragon Ball style lol. Also Goku in the latest movie for Broly. Had to go blue both him and Vegeta. And they lost. So they used Fusion to become way stronger. And be able to beat Broly. But the new Canon suggest that Broly will join Goku at some point. And he will become the strongest for real. Because he has all he needs now. I like Broly. In fact he's my favorite character in Dragon Ball, And as you can see he's a really gentle and kind giant. The fight was cool, but it would be better if the result was CORRECT. The outcome was wrong and here’s why (I know it’s a long explanation, but it has to be done): Remember the part about how they said Beerus and Goku clashing and threatening to destroy the universe? Well Hulk one shotted a universe by himself in a much weaker state than even Immortal Hulk and Worldbreaker (probably default). Not to mention Goku and Beerus doing it together makes it a shared feat. Also want to point out that Supreme Kai stated that Beerus and Goku would die with the universe if they kept clashing, so they aren’t no selling universe level destruction, especially since planet level destruction can also kill them *cough cough* Vegeta. Now about their point of Goku supposedly becoming as powerful as his Super Saiyan God form in his base, well, he never became that powerful in base. All he did was make the god power his own, making his body able to use it freely. The point is, his base was never that powerful to begin with. Not to mention that power would immediately kill off his mortal body. As for their point of Hulk reverting, Broly wouldn’t be able to get Hulk to that level because not only does Broly lack the strength, power, etc. to do such a thing, but it usually happens when Bruce is piloting Hulk. His fight with Sentry was more mentally than physically (The talking back and forth during the battle. He reverted back a bit later on). So even if we assume Hulk is piloted by Banner, Broly wouldn’t make him revert by fighting him. Now let’s move on to their point of Hulk’s immortality (This one is ridiculous). Broly cannot overpower Hulk’s immortality. There were times when Hulk was chopped into pieces, reduced to a skeleton state, and yet he still came back. Leader, another Gamma Radiation user, once came back from complete vaporization. Hulk, having superior healing and regeneration compared to Leader should be capable of the same thing. But again, Broly doesn’t have the strength or power to do anything like that anyway. And their point of Hulk one shotting The One Below All’s avatar already solos Dragon Ball because The One Below All is literally the dark counter part of The One Above All, Marvel’s literal version of god. Even the avatars can pose threats to cosmic beings that solo Dragon Ball (Galactus, Dormammu, Eternity, Infinity, Phoenix Force, Living Tribunal, Molecule Man, Franklin Richards, and even Beyonder (who was shocked and disturbed by Hulk’s limitless power)).

Due to the way the story is and the background of certain characters, Toriyama ended up envisioning one character as a fridge and all the Saiyan's, which is a pun of the Japanese word for Vegetables "Yasai", as well as a lot of others under their control as different things within that fridge. All the Saiyans are named after vegetables, if you didn't know Goku's birth name is Kakarot (carrot), his older brother's name is Raditz (radish), and so on. Also, the Hulk loves puppies thing is real. Once when Hulk went on a rampage and they needed to calm him down, Nick Fury airdropped a container full of puppies in his path. It worked.

The cool and scary thing about Green Scar is that it is an identity created from Hulk and Banner becoming one. So imagine Hulk's great rage and emotional nature combined with Banner's intelligence and moral compass, both seeking to protect their new home, the planet Sakaar, as its king. And then somebody decided to join Banner and Hulk in something stringer than rage: Hatred. I'd say more but the World War Hulk Saga is the closest thing Marvel has to a legit amazing Epic. So for the sake of spoiling one of Marvel's best stories, I cannot say more. Though I will say this: Hulk reaches CRITICAL MASS.

The fun part, in the movie broly effordlessly veated goku and vegeta blue, whaled into golden frieza(extreme one sided). And then whis, blocked Broly with single finger while yawning(but angels(the blue guys with the desteoyers are angels) are not allowed to interfere) So yeah whis is example of someone who effordlessly can beat Broly.

Whis didn't block Broly at all, he only dodged but pretty effortless. That was against the normal super saiyan Broly. After Gogeta went blue, the legendary super saiyan Broly wasn't able to hit Gogeta either and it didn't seem to take that much effort either (tho it looked like he still had to make an effort when it came to dealing damage to Broly). Don't get me wrong, i still think that Whis is stonger than SSB Gogeta, but it's hard to tell how big the difference is based on that fight. In a world where we could see Gogeta go ultra instinct tho, i could imagine him being able to go at least toe to toe against Whis.

Allot of People hate the Original Broly for understandable reasons but that's bcus they don't understand Broly as a Character. In the original story Broly had a power level of 10k which was completely unheard of and unreasonable for Saiyan babies (Vegeta is of Royal blood so naturally you'd think they'd be stronger. Vegeta as a Baby has a power level of 500 (2nd strongest) and it takes 5k just to destroy a Planet in DBZ, of course the bigger the planet the more power you need). When King Vegeta (Vegeta's Dad) found out how strong Broly was and how he dwarfed his son in power not only was he jealous but scared bcus Broly as a baby was over the power level of most adults including the Elites. So King Vegeta ordered that Broly be murdered out of fear of what he could possibly do if he's uncontrollable. Paragus tried to plead with the King saying his son can turn out to be a great warrior who could potentially free them from Frieza but King Vegeta had made up his mind and attempted to kill Paragus for his intervening. Next thing we see is a Saiyan Soldier or King Vegeta himself pick Broly up by the leg and stab him in the chest with a knife making Broly scream out in pain and then threw his body next to his father's. As they both lay dying in a trash pit bleeding out Frieza came to blow up the planet the same day and that noise freaked Broly out and made him get angry enough to produce a barrier that saved him and his dad from Frieza's attack. I say all that to say this, Broly both in the original and the new movie is heavily traumatized and abused. As most people know it doesn't take much for someone to be traumatized and can be triggered by anything and everything that does or doesn't have to do with what actually caused it. Goku's crying (really Goku himself) isn't what actually makes Broly mad that's just the trigger bcus Goku is the first thing that made him cry. What makes Broly mad is the pain he was dealt as a baby. The next time he cries as I said is when he's stabbed which was painful and the third is when Frieza is blowing up the planet while he's painfully bleeding out. Broly linked the pain he felt back to Goku as an infant unintentionally and now that's his trauma despite Goku being innocent. Paragus uses a mind control device to force Broly to stay calm and passive bcus if he gets to Angry he can't be reasoned with and is utterly a uncontrollable and unstable Psychopathic Killing Machine. In the new movie the power level and King Vegeta being jealous and scared is the same but what changed is the fact Broly's Dad now uses a high voltage shock collar to make Broly obey him (Trauma and Abuse). Broly no matter what is a traumatized and a abused character. In the Original they had the right idea I just personally feel they didn't explain it right which is why they tweaked it a bit to make New Broly.
