I'm a fan of doja but mostly her older stuff. She explains all the demon stuff. Does she handle certain things like an angsty teen, usually, but we're human. I had to laugh at people assuming "devil worship" simply for dressing up like a demon because a faith says whatever it says. Doja like a lot of us, is into games and fantasy, roleplay, and a Demon, Devil, and Daemons are often characters/creatures you can play as or encounter/interact with on a daily to either fight, trade with or work for and or co-exist with. Like the not so smart people of the 80s who thought dungeons and dragons was an evil game because it had monsters in it. As an athiest, with friends and family who are both christians and satanists, ain't nothing devil worshiping about Doja cat's new look, it's def tired, but not evil, so many have done it. My rule is, I separate art from artist unless you've done some vile crime, R*pe, Murder, etc, idc about your personal life, just make music I like. So far Doja has held herself accountable in a lot of these things, trolled in most the others, and admited she's tired of the flip flopping entitled fans and people obsessed with her body and only her body. Look at the drama lil nas x caused with Montero. All our lives people tell us LGBT folks we're going to hell for existing, so he makes a video of him going to hell and doing what you'd do in hell, and people were still mad. That's interesting to say the least. Thanks as always for the fun videos.

I agree with everything yall said in this video. I didn't listen to Doja super often but she was on my playlists and then when she started this demonic image I had to back away especially because I'm a Christian and it just didn't feel right for me to keep listening to her regardless of if I thought she was trolling or not. Plus it was just draining and tiring😂

You can appreciate “satanic” imagery and not be satanic lol most Satanists are actually very nice people, some activists even. For good world/social causes. Leave it to the main religions like (christianity/Catholicism etc) to keep people close-minded and manipulate to make you think these things are “bad”. They’re not, and you won’t “go to hell” for liking this type of artistry.

here’s my take, i think she loves the hate. she hated the look and person that she was forced to be in order to be popular, she said it herself, she did this so she can see who her real fans are, the ones that will stick with her regardless of what she makes. she hated the fake fans the ones who only loved her if she had that image, so she did what she wanted to make people hate her ON PURPOSE. is it weird, fuck yes and it’s tired, but she feels free. not because she loves being a devil or demon but because she now knows who loves her and who doesn’t. she loves the fact that you can’t tell if she’s serious or not, that’s her point. she wants you to dissect your mind to understand her. To me, doha is just an artist, when we say she’s a devil worshipper for dressing like a demon in a music video, we look dumb because the actors that play demons like in “the nun” don’t get that same hate even though they’re both for entertainment purposes. THATS HER POINT, she knows we fall for anything. people will say “the music industry is evil” but so is EVERY industry, id go and say the entertainment industry is WORSE, look up the woman from the shinning and see what the movie did to her. this is ENTERTAINMENT at the end of the day, we know nothing abt her or these artists personal life. that’s the bottom line, she loves the drama, the confusion, the hate, the news articles, the conspiracies because she’s a troll and always has been. i don’t support her because her music isn’t my favorite but i don’t hate her. idgaf if she worships the devil good for her, it doesn’t effect me and that’s what she wants. she wants people to realize that she doesn’t owe you anything and that she’s a human and an artist, her decisions shouldn’t weigh down in you as much as they do.
