If I remember correctly, the reason Karla Homolka didn't get a harsher sentence is because the video tapes that showed she actually took part in the murders and wasn't under Paul's control weren't found until after her trial.

Correct. The tapes which showed Karla Homolka was much more involved in the crimes than what she said to police didn't surface until after her plea deal had been finalized. I tend to consider Karla's plea deal a double edged sword because while she basically got away with her crimes; it was her testimony to her knowledge of her husband Paul Bernardo being the Scarborough 🍇ist due to the fact that police had suspected Paul of being the perpetrator of numerous sexual crimes against women in the city of Scarborough Canada.

One thing I don't get is why many of these criminals just aren't given the same treatment that they gave to others. I mean sure if they killed others you could just make their deaths slower. And yes I do understand as well that that's not exactly humane or whatever other excuse somebody wants to say but it would be great karma. Where we could just bring back public executions cuz something tells me that would stop a lot of criminals from even having an idea. Not to mention it could actually be marketable to make our country back some money. I brought many of these criminals that do actually get sentenced to death a nice little chamber with just their family and the victims pretty much but if you were to publicize it how many of them you think would actually want to do it then. Not to mention why give a last meal as many of them really don't deserve it.

Maybe if they accidentally execute the wrong person they won’t feel as bad lol? Idk. Personally, the idea of Public execution is too much for me. But maybe they can make a blend of some sort so that those evil people can pay for what they’ve done
