The "flashing" you see on camera is the frames per second just like old school film its a whole bunch of still photos.

That's cool. I get those as scrap and realized it was because they just give up at 10 years. I did a video on one a few months back. Not much scrap value.

Same ones we use at work, ten years, they die off like clockwork. I guess they work, never go into alarm at work and no one has gotten sick
