Real memories from Chicago tv. I'm 51 years old and I remember this program growing up me and my sister had white go go boots because of this show. Chicago memories, HEY CULLIGAN MAN! do you remember? And my fellow Chicagoans do you remember Creature Feature, Saturday night 10:30 on WGN Memories, My city.

Yes! I remember all of those things. I was also on Kiddie-A-Go-Go and had the white go-go boots (but not til the early 70s).

Jack Mulqueen has passed away at at 83 on 2/28/16. He & his wife leaves behind a legacy of Chicago Children's TV that will never be surpassed or forgotten.

+Luis Reyes I was very sorry to hear about Jack. I met him three times , and , Elaine , once. They were a really sweet couple. They're also crucial to the Rock'n'Roll TV legacy in Chicago , in general , because they were the only Rock - oriented show in town , at the time , and the major acts WANTED to be on the show.

I first found out about this show in 1986, from someone who'd grown up in Chicago. A few years later, I saw a few episodes and was astonished and wonderstruck by the sight of little kids go-go dancing. I approve.

A popular pre-teen show from Chicago that aired 1963-1970, created by Jack & Elaine (aka Pandora) Mulqueen. Looks like some kids came to the taping in their Cub Scout & Brownie uniforms, with Moms & Dads in the stands. Wonder what the NC6 thought of doing the gig -- it gave them exposure on local tv... and they probably got paid in Mickelberry franks & cold-cuts.

I'm sure The New Colony Six appreciated being on "Kiddie - A - Go Go"because it was the only show in the Chicagoland to feature Rock acts. I saw The New Colony Six about a dozen years ago , and they ran the DVD of their "Kiddie A Go Go" appearance onscreen behind them while they played "I Lie Awake", the song they did on the program , so it's safe to say Ray Graffia (The only original member currently playing with The NC6 )is proud of his contribution to Chicago TV Rock'n'Roll history.

Was on once and won some bubble gum in a dance contest. I really wanted to be on Soul Train like my older sister and her friends but I was too young, so I guess this was my parents' idea of compensation. By the time I was finally old enough to get on Soul Train ('76), they had packed their s#%+ and moved to Los Angeles. I was pissed LOL

I remember Pandora making a public appearance at a local supermarket in my neighborhood. Was packed, but my sister patiently stood in line with me so I could get her autograph. I thought there was a national version on ABC but only lasted a few episodes.

Mulqueen's had a contest in 1966, which I entered. For the life of me, I can't remember the first or second prize, but I won the 3rd prize: I large motorized bubble top car model kit.

For all you haters, yes pandora is kind of in your face, but she was a seasoned childrens entertainer for many years, as for the gogo dancing I read on a history of chicago tv that Jack her husband, who did most of the puppetwork, and production is a really devoted catholic, regularly frequenting the church. never saw much harm in the funny dances they did at the real wiskey a gogo, and did not know what all the trouble was about. well just read it for yourself, she was not a nasty person.

I remember having to escort my two younger sisters to this show back in 1964 or 1965. I believe the studio was in The Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago. Painful.

Lots of local TV shows had their own kids' dance programs. WNEW New York had a segment of "Wonderama" called the Go-Go Cellar. That's where I first heard The Miracles' "Going To A Go-Go".

You know your career is on the rocks when you're lip syncing to your latest recording in front of a studio of dancing nine year olds. I'm glad it was wholesome and all but it's still painful to watch. The only thing worse was Red Hot and Blues on Channel 26, sponsored by P&P Discount, who sold very old looking used appliances.
