The trouble is who decides how much is too much? My kids are 20 and 14 yrs old now. Yet I am still wary of splashing their pix about on facebook or insta. I have so far managed to keep my 14 yr old son from joining instagram and delayed buying him a smartphone. The older one joined insta at 18 once he joined college. They're both there on discord though; because they're into gaming and their gamer friends are there. So far, it appears that they're dealing with people they know in real life too. But I can't stop worrying about SM influences on them and what if they decide to turn vloggers or influencers later on in life because it is so remunerative?

@@unr34lk1dx6 yes, they will do what they want only. Nevertheless can't help worrying about the negative influence SM has on both content creators and content consumers. Much of the mental health issues and behaviour and mood disorders people are suffering from today invariably has links to the amount of time they spend online, in particular on SM. Whether people acknowledge this fact or not, doesn't alter the truth. Once people get affected by overconsuming these things disregarding family advice, they also expect family support to overcome the ill effects.

Parents profiting from kids has been there since decades. Earlier it was the film industry when stars like madhubala, sridevi, Sarika, Daisy Irani, Shweta basu Prasad and many more joined as child artists and it was their parents who pushed them towards filmdom. Unless parents are willing to control their own presence on SM and the urge to consume SM content, FOMO will continue to strike them and they will sooner or later expose their kids to SM. Whether we like it or not, the fact is that social media following has become an easy way to make money and therefore people are more than willing to spend time and effort to do whatever it takes to grab eyeballs.

I'm not an adult yet, but i totally agree with you Sarthak. The body shaming thing or the comparison of oneself with some other is absolutely true. When I was a kid, I used to watch videos of some 'kidfluencers' and envy them for having a "perfect" life. I even used to get jealous of them for having the kind of birthday parties or toys or any other fun which i wanted to have. Slowly, i also stared to get insecure about my appearance by comparing myself to the very much older girls. But as I grew up, i realised that social media is heavily sugarcoated. The so called 'perfect' lives are not actually perfect, in fact the lives of those kids is actually worse than mine from some aspects. I also introduced myself to some better content and thankfully I didn't fall into this trap of "influencing". Thankyou for calling out this issue happening around us.

They know how toxic the internet is. Exposing innocent kids in this social world without proper guidance can prove to be very dangerous for them in the coming ages. Learn from other people's mistake and dont just be hungry for fame. Parents of such kidfluencers will either lose their child's trust or their child themselves.

Very well said. It's really scary how the parents are also party to the mental and emotional degradation of the kids.

Well done Sarthak, you have made video on very important topic. I'm a teacher and most of my students are on social media posting their videos on Instagram and Facebook. It has become a contagious disease for kids.

Same bro same i always thought how embarrassing it will become for these children to see themselves when they grow up and see themselves doing normal stuff that every child does but unfortunately their whole childhood is broadcasted to whole world. Privacy is a serious concern in today's digital age

Hi Sarthak. Thanks for this video. I watched it with my 6-year-old daughter. Really, it is a very big issue at this time. We, as parents, must think about this. These apps must be banned from all over the world.

You've raised an interesting point about kidfluencers and their lack of consent due to their young age. It's crucial to consider the ethical implications of using children in videos and content creation without their understanding or agreement. Children might not fully comprehend the consequences, and it's our responsibility to ensure their well-being. This issue touches upon both ethical considerations and child protection, prompting us to reflect on the potential impact such practices can have on the children's future. Love your work, Keep making video on different issue.

This was a very important topic that nobody talked upon. Thanks Sarthak bhai. Mujhe bhi ye pasand nahi ki aise small kids, esp their parents, unhein aise social media pe laa daalte hain. Applause 👏

I'm 16 and I'm proud that I haven't made any of these mistakes for peer pressure. The other girls do these things but still me and my friend group who stay far away from this trap and and good in studies are far more popular than them. We focus on self improvement.😀 But there was a time when I started liking My Miss Anand's Videos but now I know that following those steps and lifestyle will only make me a failure. So to focus on my goals I never follow any of those type of channel. Not a hater just sharing my thoughts 😊And don't think that a nerdy girl only looks like this 👉🤓 you can be a nerd to love books and be a fashion diva at the same time 💖 Just you don't need to leak your privacy... Do what makes you comfortable and avoid peer pressure 😄

It's such an important topic & not many shine light on this here in India. Thanks for bringing awareness about the future of tomorrow👏👏👏. Glad you mentioned pedophilia. "Virtual Autism" is also something that we must worry about. I am a mother of a 2 yr old & 1 yr old. Trying to bring down their screen time.

much needed video in today's time. I m also 17yrs old. I see many kids these days using abusive language, seeing rubbish content on social media and learning all the negative aspects from the social media which is not good for them. Influencers generally show their happy moments. Social media is just sugarcoated.

Sarthak, Thank you so much for bringing this video. This is need of the hour. Social media could be a poison to those who can't regulate it properly! In my opinion kids must be kept away from this at all times until they are adult, and parents must make them aware of the dangers it posses. Parents should instead engage their kids to read books, play outdoor sports. Make books a kid's best friend!

I am a teenager boy and I used to have a friend. She used to make reels showing her body parts which she wasn't supposed show to public. She then started receiving threats. She even didn't tell this to anyone that she was receiving threats. I also told her to stop making this videos but she didn't listen. I didn't know at that time that she was receiving threats. She gradually stopped talking to me and the entire friends group even to her family. Then she failed her class 10 board exams and even had her break up. And then the unexpected happened. She ended her life. She was my best friend and I miss her till this day.
