I dont know why because the whole first 25mins were heartbreaking, but i burst into tears as she said the girls were outside but i couldnt see them because their faces were completely covered over. That just really got to me and will forever get to me! It infuriates me that some cultures/religions have these views of women, that they are lesser. Its disgusting!! Women have it hard enough in "the free world", i cant even imagine for a second living in a strict muslim country as a woman. Terrifying and makes me sick to my stomach!

@@mynameiseve.1 This is Yemen, girls do not go outside unless chaproned and fully covered. They take them out of school right after puberty which can be as early as 8 years old. Married off to a much older man. Its one of the worst places to be a girl/woman. Some girls after marriage are never seen again by the family, you can imagine what their fate is like. Too many girls die giving birth due to being physicallly too young.

@@FF-by6cibelieve me, I know! that's why I commented on that. others are commenting about how brave the mom is, how awful the dad, wow they found each other etc. for me the absolute devastation in this video is that what you wrote in your comment! I can hardly bare it tbh! I grew up with so much respect for me as a girl. my mom, an ex catholic irish nun, my dad an atheist german....both of them hammered into me that I should never ever think a boy can do anything more or better than I can, that boys/men are not greater or better. I lost my parents at a young age, but they gave me this along the way. I am horrified, heartbroken and devastated that women/girls have it any other way!! Dont ask me why, but I can hardly breathe that this is the way of the world there, and other places. And that is always what hits me the hardest.

This was such a tragic story with a wonderful ending. I married an Iranian man and came back to the UK when I was having difficulty with my pregnancy. He expected me to recover and go back but my pregnancy was complicated, so I remained in the UK. Once my son was born, I realised the marriage had to end. He threatened to get into the UK and take him. He managed to get in via Scotland when my son was 3 years old. He knew where I lived and what nursery my son attended. None of that knowledge came from me. Knowing this may one day happen I had informed the nursery and so when he turned up there, they immediately phoned me and wouldn't allow him to take my child. He's all grown up now, but I still have palpitations thinking what might have been.

@@virginia2949He should never have been clubbing, drinking, sleeping around, having kids out of wedlock in the first place since he was supposedly “Muslim”. His own parents are also to blame for not instilling in him Islamic values which are opposed to the indulgences he found in the West. Of course had he been a woman things would be very different! As a Muslim woman I’m disgusted by him and the community that turns a blind eye towards this male behaviour that still seems to be ongoing today. He ruined three innocent girls lives by not abiding by Islamic values and norms.

The issue here isn’t about different cultures…the problem is these men who indulge in the Western lifestyle of sleeping around, having kids out of wedlock, drinking and clubbing, securing the unassuming white girl, then abusing and exploiting religion when it suits them for self interests to oppress and manipulate her, without having any knowledge of the faith of Islam which is utterly opposed to what he has committed. The repercussions of this is that daughters from that marriage pay the heavy price of their father’s guilt where he fears his sinful lifestyle will come back and bite him on the bum through his daughters indulging in the same misbehaviours he committed. Hence the extreme measures of repression and restriction on the daughters to the point of mental and physical abuse where the rest of their lives are ruined.

He took the girls because in divorce the father ALWAYS gets the children to be raised in his country/culture. Has nothing to do with revenge.

so glad Safia found out for herself that her mother is a kind woman who loves her and never stopped fighting to get her home. The story about Nadia breaks my heart and she seemed so so lovely. She didnt deserve half the things she got and the sad thing is if she was in the uk she would have been saved.

Oh my goodness, i cried my heart out. A huge thank you to the people who donated money to get them all to Wales!!!! If only Jackie had listened to her parents, none of this would have happened. But I'm sure that she isn't the first and won't be be the last unfortunately. Nothing beats a mothers love. I so hope that her other daughter and family will return also to Wales. Absolutely heartbreaking what happened to beautiful Nadia. She was left to die 😢😢😢😢

It would have been easier to close that chapter of her life and focus on her other daughter and perhaps a weaker mother would have done just that. While none of them can ever get back the years that they lost I'm glad that she persisted in finding them and everyone got a happier ending ❤

Unfortunately, this has happened in several cases. Usually, the husband’s parents are in cahoots and believe that he has rights to the children, due to their religion and culture.

What a horrible story. How heartless that man was! Help jackie to bring her other daughter and her grandfathers. Its just sad. So sad. I'm overwhelmed today-- had watched an australian documentary about an afghani girl who was killed by her husband six weeks after her forced marriage.
