I doubt Jonny actually drove 916 series Alfa GTV/Spider with the Busso V6. Or actually a 156. They're all excellent cars! And its stupid to want a Exige but not a 340R. For the latter Lotus added even more lightness.

The bit on the Alfa 147 made me chuckle 🤭 I own an early, pre-faeclift 147, petrol 2.0, 5MT, and I can't see many people in the states taking to it. It's a fantastic car, and with a good suspension set up, is a fun and well handling car with a great engine, but our roads here in the U.K are like hobbit roads, so it makes so much more sense in Europe than the States. It's well kitted too, heated leather seats, electric sunroof and a BOSE stereo with 10 CD changer, not many hatchbacks had that sort of stuff in 2001, but I can totally see how they would come across to any potential buyers in the U.S! Absolutely loving the podcast, especially in video form! I started listening just before Xmas with the Seinfeld podcast 🙌 Best wishes from the U.K 🇬🇧

I disagree with Lieberman about the RS4. Yeah, maybe a V8 is a cooler engine, but it was the one pictured in the episode that changed everything. That RS4 really made performance wagons cool, desired and popular. The very first “a wagon outpacing a sports car” videos always featured those RS4s. Maybe not the fastest, maybe not the first one, but this is the real OG performance wagon. It’s THE RS4 to get.

The guy in the Waymo car was a bit of a jerk. I understand his frustration but the constant demands issued to the support person were unnecessary. I ran a very large business with a very large customer call center, the stuff these folks have to deal with would amaze the average person. Some people today are absolute P _ _ _ k’s. The majority of customers are wonderful but there are no shortages to absolute jerks that don’t understand that average salary employee has limited power. I would challenge anyone, include you three to go sit in a customer call center for a day, I guarantee you will never treat a customer support center person bad ever again in your life.
