Boy, there is so much wrong with this video I'm not sure where to start? So to the law against kidnapping and making a slave of someone. I agree with you here. This is explicitly outlawed in the Bible Though the corresponding verse in Deuteronomy 24:7 limits this to the kidnapping of a fellow Israelite only, but we'll ignore that for now. But because of this you said; "this should be enough to show that there was no slavery in the Bible" Well I suppose this would be true if the only way you could be made a lifelong chattel slave was through kidnapping. But it isn't. It doesn't even crack the top 3 ways for Pete's sake. What were the top 3 most common ways to become a slave at the time? 1. Captured in another nations wars, enslaved, and then sold to Israel. 2. Debt (only for non-Hebrews). 3. Simply being born into it to slave parents. None of these involve kidnapping. And another thing that you're ignoring is that this law against kidnapping was common in most nations at the time. If a law against kidnapping meant there was no slavery, then most nations around Israel at the time didn't have slavery either. But you claimed in earlier videos that they did. You can't have it both ways John. "Because you first have to kidnap someone to make them a slave" No, you don't. There were many ways to become a slave as I laid out above. This is just factually false. If this was true, then many of the slaves in America weren't actually slaves. Why? Because many were captured in Tribal wars in Africa and then sold as slaves to America. Just like many slaves in Israel were captured in other nations wars and sold to Israel as slaves. You can't just ignore this fact away. "This law kind of gets in the way of getting someone from another country and forcing them to work as a slave doesn't it? " No, it doesn't. Because that's not how most people became slaves at the time. You're simply claiming that it's the ONLY way. And you're wrong on that. Factually, historically and demonstrably wrong. Sorry.

It also says whoever is caught with the kidnapped slave is punished by death. So you cannot kidnap slaves or buy kidnapped slaves.

When you buy slaves from nation around you, hoe do you think thoses people got the slaves, by kidnapping. The bible does say not to kidnap.... But as long as you dont ask questions your fine..
