Lien and CA look really nice. No one else but Lien offers to pay for their food or rides when they are with Troy. Everyone else just waits for him to pay. I really enjoy the videos of Ca and Lien. It's great you took the time to explain to Chau Ahn about the difficulties that kidney patients have. We need to look back I think to our own attention spans and knowledge base we had at 10 -11 years. How well did you understand illness and life threatening situations at 10 or 11? Now, compound that with being a street kid for nearly your entire life and a mentally ill mother.

I have definately noticed that Lien is a different person when BT is not around her and Chau Anh. That says a lot about what BT does to her mentally. Lien seems much more lucid lately, but CA has been asserting dominance over her. You might hate BT, but she provided a role model and parental authority, something that is missing in Lien. Without direction, CA might make bad choices which will doom her to a tough life.

Lien is much more cognizant than she appears, as she watches and listens carefully. CA is still a bit unruly, as evidenced by her standing on the chairs in the cafe. Dangerous maneuver for her.

CA is anything but shy. There may have been a little bit of jealousy at play, but I think maybe being with a girl who is only a few years older and so sick may have made CA feel a little vulnerable. CA was definitely a little bit uncomfortable with Nguyet, but Ca has never been very shy. I really like that Troy does these kind of videos with CA. I’m sure it is good experience for her even if it was a little awkward.

Chau Anh reacted on Nguyet like any child would do. someone around is too close to her "daddy". she knows Nguyet from the videos and is aware they both receive Troy's help and attention. it's normal reaction especially as she is not the most skilfully in all those emotional stuff. sort of rivalry. as they are both good souls if they had opportunity to spent some time together CA would learn a lot from Nguyet about life. the only way for her to learn is bring her into those situations interacting with various kind of folks. I like when Nguyet on her way out said good bye to Lien.

Makes me so said when I know there is but little hope for Nguyet. Thank you Troy for helping what you can and Pray for a miracle. Jo Ahn being a little girl I can see is a little bit jealous, but this is a good learning experience to see she is not the only one. I believe the real only way to save her life would to get the attention of big US charities that is some way could make her case known and airflight her out to a well equipped hospital. Even then how do you find donner kidneys. It would be difficult for me if I were in Troy's position. You have to carry on with a hard cover to protect you hart.

There might be a little awkwardness in the first meeting with unfamiliar faces. But once they become friends I'm pretty sure Chau Anh can be a delightful acquaintance like she is with Bac Thanh's daughter, even though there's a wide age gap. Should let Chau Anh do the interview. Maybe Chau Anh can share some of her comic book stories to cheer people up.

I agree, Troy got a ... very confusing personality... some titles for his videos are so clickbait (which makes me feel bad when i read them) + he got often rude comments for the persons he interview s (like commenting on their weight, commenting that they got only 2 T-Shirts and often wear the same like with another girl, or even asking for the girl with the bent spine to be more outgoing and talk more or else the content of his videos would be boring (wtf) and was on loop on that for 4 minutes, or ask very direct questions geared at making the person cry (like with that 23 yo girl who need a new kidney on another video) and feel even worse and it makes me questioned myself about who that person truly is. Feels like some narcissitic pervert vibes (he does exactually what that type of person would do/say). I don't even understand why there's no subtitles for the conversations, it's like all that deserves to be subbed according to him is the parts where he can make someone cry, make the audience cry and the parts where he gives money. But at least the end results is that some good people (some are shady) are helped by donators with good hearts, but yeah, I'm often shocked about some of the thign Troy does or say and his behavior.

I wonder if all of these people have kidney problems because of the bottled drinking water. I was down there a few years ago and I noticed that one of the Asian water companies had an extreme aftertaste in the water. It tasted like fuel of some type. I wonder if all these people that you are running into are drinking the same water?

Most poor people in VN can’t afford buy water. They drink from tap, most villagers live in countryside, areas where the war was fought. I lived in Vn over 7 yrs. saw lots of people with physical issues I think a lot of it has more to do with all the toxic chemicals and waste from the US war and all the chemicals used that contaminated the land which contaminated water. Napalm, bombs, and other chemicals that were used

Taxis are dirt cheap in VN, you can go anywhere for a couple bucks, unlike the US
