I think people need to know what this song is about. It’s about people who take the easy way out and take their life. Kid rocks cousin Paul did just that and I can’t fathom the pain that bob and his family felt. This song is truly beautiful.

MattMohs Outdoorshow I agree with you partly. My brother took his life in 97. O watched my parents go through hell dealing with the hurt. Now I sit here contemplating it by the day. Complete different issues, as my brother's was selfishness because he actually had a life. I'm in my 11th yr as a paraplegic. The not walking is the easiest part. The pain a misery that I deal with daily isn't. I fell over 55 feet and crushed my pelvis, backbone, sternum, broke 7 ribs, collapsed both lungs, elbow was compound fracture, ruptured the spleen, broke my neck in 4 places, etc. Today I poop in a ostomy bag because my colon has been removed, I pee with a Cathedar about 4-5x daily. But the worst is the pain, it's a miserable pain that nobody can understand because I wouldn't have imagined living in such pain in my wildest dreams honestly man. When it get around 30 or raining it's even worse and unable to sleep. Nothing consumes your mind the way real pain can ! The hardware in my pelvis and my back is killing me. Since all muscle structure is gone I'm sitting right on my frame which is mostly customized of metal in my lumbar, pelvis and elbow. I've been in different pain management centers in Ohio and Georgia. Taking a ton of methadone all day without much help at all. I d understand it at all and it seems nobody else has or does either even doctors. It's completely miserable ! I truly wish there were options I really do ! Please don't think I want to take my own life but what choices am I left with ? It's become completely unbearable !! Thanks for listening (IF you did I appreciate it ) Love and Peace. . . .

Sorry it never really heals. My best friend who I went to Vegas for his wedding (elipement) and his other best friend and my on again off again love his sister were including parents only ones there. 6 months later back home here in Montana he had a reception I was in tux and all. He said a couple things. Marriage was already estranged. She had a trail of 2 dead bodies behind her from suicide. Her father who she was the last to see at 15 who supposedly killed himself with a butcher knife plunged through his front all the way through his sternum!! Yeah normally only Japanese swordsman can do that. Then she was the last person too see her first fiance alive before he shot himself( coincedentally? He looked like he could be my bros twin!) Where she is from in Wyoming? They call her the black widow. If I just would have moved into their basement after my divorce house sold? But no I clang the most narcissist sociopath ever. She's still ruining lives, but he's gone. Only other loss was old relatives. But losing a best friend who was 13 years younger then me? After being so close the last 2 years of out friendship? Suicide has now claimed two others from me. An old friend/coworker who I called my best friends in that state and told them I see it he will do it. 3 4 weeks later? He did.

It was known within the immediate family. But he reached out to us and we both live with not reaching back. Not realising it meant the most. One day we will carry peace in our hearts for him. A more country classic sounding album but still fascinating to listen to anyway. It goes to show how diverse his different albums are (although the Southern Rock component has been consistent the last few albums) and love how Kid keeps his music, fresh and exciting at the same time. This song reminds me of my best friend who I lost to it 30 days after his wedding reception. That Saturday morning he asked me to go with him to put up signs so just he and could hang and talk for a bit. Conversation got deep. I will never forget it. And the day he left was the worst day of my life. The family and friends of them suffer greatly. Worst thing I ever went through. Period. I have lost family to natural causes but they were older. He was younger than me. Miss him everyday. But I smile when I think of him now. But that pain will never go away completely

I just want to say thank you Kid Rock for writing the song I feel like you wrote it for my son he tried to commit suicide this year September 30th hung himself in the basement he was on a ventilator for 14 hours but by the grace of God he came through because I was able to hold him up while my other son cut him down.
