Good thing these kids didn't break the bone. Since I read a class of second graders discovered the lower jaw of a T Rex and ended up breaking the bone in 3 pieces because they were playing with it lol.

When my son was about 4, I took him to a place called Stonerose Fossil Center where you could pay a fee and get tools to look for fossils in what was once a lakebed. I told him what we were looking for and that it might be hard and almost immediately he said, “You mean like this mom?” And showed me a rock with fossils in it. It was pretty impressive. Kids just “see” differently. Thank goodness for fresh eyes.
