We didn't have cable growing up. But my grandmother did and she lived next door. Every Saturday morning my sister and I would trot over, and be welcomed with sugary cereal and Saturday morning cartoons, and Kids Incorporated. I loved the musical shows, like Jem, and Kidd Video, but the live actors really made this one special to me. I can still remember how moved I was by their rendition of "holding out for a hero". I was transfixed. Really is a great song.

I rewatched the pilot years ago. This was my first rewatch of any other full episode. I walked away to pull laundry out of the washer when they were about to sing (it was not lost on me that I never thought I'd be watching this show when I was an adult) . Somehow I knew it was Renee singing. I was obsessed with the show...taped it on VHS and rewatched each episode a million times and played Kids Incorporated with my best friend...I was Stacy and she was Renee. Apparently recognizing their voices had been safely locked away for forty years. I couldn't believe it. Ty for letting me relive this. Also...I loved the old commercials. Pound puppies!

This is one of those shows that I watched around this period of time 1984-86. I remember being a little sad when it came on because the cartoons were over, but I enjoyed it. I wanted to have lives and clothes like theirs with all the neon, bright colors, and cool sets. I never realized until watching it now as a 46 year old how much work and details went into the direction and look of this show. Thanks for posting!

I finally found the TV show from my Mom’s Childhood back in the 1980’s, which is this show. She was looking for this show so bad and was her favorite growing up, As well as most of her friends too, even my Dad, in her hometown, Ethiopia (any Gen X Ethiopians can relate too). She told me that this along with a couple other shows played in her hometown, Ethiopia with only one tv channel at the time, ETV. This is speaking from a Gen Z daughter who is born in 2003 who never grew up with the show, but is really happy to see my mother going on a nostalgia trip after 32 years after we helped her with all the details she could remember so i can search for it online.

I was 13 when this show came out and I pretended to be too cool to watch it. Secretly, I loved it. The commercials were a serious flashback for me! Before the internet was ever heard of, my mom would get our school clothes without leaving the house by ordering from the Sears catalog. We'd be so excited when packages arrived with our clothes in them.
