I just discovered these "Kids meet" videos and I find them amazing! They help kids to understand and accept differences, learn about "exotic" professions, diseases, fate, etc. These kids will certainly live without prejudice in the future. I think this "Kids meet" idea should be brought to school in a larger scale to help reduce prejudice in general.

RioMuc I agree! I love them! I saw one where a little boy cried from empathy for people who had been put through some terrible experiences, when he was talking with someone who had CAUSED the pain. And then he was also empathetic toward her! “It must have been hard to realize you did wrong for so long and hurt so many people.” It’s really wonderful to see how kids react to these things. Some are light hearted and good to watch for a boost and others really make you think. I have a playlist for my mom (another lifelong learner type like me) and had several of these videos in it because they’re wide ranging and really offer some insight as how to how kids would deal with certain things confronting them. Love it! So, I agree, and welcome to the channel!! It’s great! I hope you and yours stay safe during the crisis. 🌷

On my tenth or eleventh birthday I was going to a hotel, but there was a fire near my house that spread from California to Nevada. What I was most proud of is that none of the houses got burnt down even if the fire was an inch away from burning it. The firefighters did such a wonderful job that after the incident, people put up signs thanking the firefighters for their service. We should pray to firefighters much more often because we don't pay much attention to what they really do unless we're involved. Thank you for your service.

the fire fighters in my city sometimes doesn’t attend some fires until they got pretty big one time a daycare center burned down and so did a lot of kids inside it that was a tragic incident and is still being remembered to this day there is a lot of theories of how the fire started the main one being that some papers caught on fire next door and spread into the daycare :(

I’m a burn survivor. My story is that when I was around 18 months old I pulled a cord and boiling water fell all over me. For about a year and a half I had a horrible recovery but it worked out in the end. I was able to avoid facial scarring and I only really have scarring on my neck, some small spots on my arms, and a skin graph on my leg. It’s been 15 years since that, and over time I’ve learned to accept them and I’m proud to be who I am. But most importantly I’m glad that I’ve been able to live my life the way I have. I’m so fortunate to have things turn out the way they did. It’s amazing to see people share their stories. Thank you so much for sharing his!

I don't understand how the US forest service can legally terminate him afterwards and not pay for the treatment. The way health insurance is dealt with in America is so wrong. In Europe this would be a work accidence which the employer would have to pay.

There was a burn survivor on my bus in middle school. She always sat in the front behind the bus driver. One morning I was looking for a place to sit and she offered for me to sit next to her. I was always a loner so I was naturally nervous but I sat next to her. We ended up clicking and I would sit with her every morning. She was super sweet. She never explained what happened to her and I was too scared to ask. Later I found out she was saved by her brother, another burn survivor in my school

My father is I firefighter so I know how underappreciated they are. My father sometimes has to walk through the piles and piles of garbage to get to the people that neglected their home. And of course there is a lot of other stuff but I’m still not going to get in to that, but that is just an example.
