ItchyKneeSon that's fine as long as it makes you curious. Dismissing what you don't understand as if you know all about it is utterly ignorant and close-minded, it's something that's been a thing since the beginning of time and is one of the basics of science as well as everything else because EVERYTHING is energy, thoughts, actions, solid things, not solid things, EVERYTHING. So it's utterly important. And thankfully, more people are starting to learn about it. As you should.

Amy Ashjari, I was in a fairly serious accident and hurt my neck and hand. After about 6 weeks I went to a chiropractor for my neck after conventional medicine did nothing but give me opioids. He fixed my neck in 3 sessions. I asked him about my hand because it still hurt quite a bit. He recommended acupuncture. After each session the whole hand and forearm tingled and the hair stood straight up. That lasted several hours. After the fourth one, it felt like my hand was being stung by bees. It finally eased up enough I could go to sleep and when I woke up, the pain was gone. Permanently. Dr. Steve has a whole wall of testimonials from his patients.

Its not metaphysicics, its science. Its similar to studying chemistry. Youre learning about atoms, protons, neutrons, all of which you CANNOT see, but you're taught that they're real and present in all things. Energy exists and for some reason humans believe that it does in all things EXCEPT the human body. When you go into cardiac arrest and a defibrilator is used to "jumpstart" the heart - what do you think is happening? Energy is being ZAPPED into the body to restart its battery. I think she did a great job explaining - in laymans terms - hw acupuncture works. BTW - I'm an Acupuncturist :)

Koko She doesn’t seem well versed in communicating with children. That part about being a licensed medical practitioner made me cringe a bit. She can’t explain it very well so I think she’s not a very good acupuncturist. You don’t have to believe in acupuncture. It’s not about belief. I didn’t believe either, but I wanted to try it. I have had shoulder pain in the past. So, about two years ago I went to an acupuncturist. He stuck three or four needles around my shoulder and attached electrodes to an electric stimulator, kind of like jump starting a car battery. I felt tingles and was told to relax. After twenty minutes they took the needles out. I moved my arms in circles and felt no pain. What most likely happened is that it helps the muscles relax. I don’t know if it affects anything else.

What about a scientologist telling them about how we're possessed by Xeno and should come and see one of their churches (where they will gradually spend all their money, just as they'll do with faith healers, fortune tellers, and acupuncturists)? Would that be open-minded? We use our rational faculties to devise objective methods to find out what's true and false. What works and what doesn't. @simon_far6 жыл бұрын
I would also have loved to see those twins in this episode. But you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss something just because it sounds crazy, because there actually is some evidence showing that it might work. Example for lower back pain, straight out of one of the highest levels of evidence available (DynaMed Plus): "Guidelines are inconsistent, with one recommending acupuncture, one recommending against acupuncture, and one not making a recommendation for or against acupuncture. Across many potential interventions for chronic low back pain, performing an intervention is more effective than doing nothing, and no intervention appears superior to any other. Acupuncture can seem effective whether real or sham. Some clinicians may consider any efficacy a placebo effect, and find suggesting acupuncture unwarranted. Despite not having proof that a specific (or any) technique is involved in patients feeling better with using acupuncture, it still could be a reasonable option based on relative safety compared to other active interventions for patients with chronic low back pain who are looking for a different therapeutic option." I'm not very supportive of acupuncture myself, but blanket statements like "there is no scientific evidence" and "anyone with critical thinking skills could tell" don't help the situation; because there are actually high level studies both supporting and not supporting acupuncture. Where I am from, there is usually very little harm to be done with acupuncture (as it is closely regulated), but I understand that in other countries it might not be so safe, so I might be a bit biased.

@ashwinmohan45036 жыл бұрын
1k Subs.. Nope!! They ACTUALLY speak like this. Go to one and check for yourself. Its just a placebo effect for many. By concentrating on a smaller, {but potentially dangerous and new stimulus}, the mind gets tricked into forgetting the bigger pain. Then, by suggesting that lot of people are healed by this and asking them if they feel better, some people are tricked into thinking they feel a little better. Although the risk of infection and having too many treatments done is low, there is no real proven benefit to this. Anybody who has seen nervous system of humans will laugh at the "supposed" stimulation points in such treatments.

Haha what a pathetic comparison! Still, let me explain this to you. 1. No, atleast where I am from we DONT teach children to believe in stupid fantasies like Santa, Jesus, etc. 2. There is a major difference between having faith in religion and believing something which is a medical scam. 3. It doesnt involve sticking needles in your body and calling it treatment. 4. It doesnt make ME a better person, nor did I find it offensive, it was just a bad thing to teach to young children. Go troll somewhere else if you dont get it.
@ashwinmohan45036 жыл бұрын
Stephanie. Teaching about something is different when they know it is NOT REAL. Thats the important thing here. Its good to teach them about acupuncture and chi, but wrong to tell them it is REAL and others can "feel it". Also wrong that she told them her dad needed more treatments, clearly a scam. What if the kids copy it and stick needles in their bodies thinking it is an actual treatment.
@ashwinmohan45036 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy. Yes as a matter of fact I did undergo acupuncture once a week over a period of 6 months due to an ankle problem. I have also tried many such "faith healings" like Reiki too. I always try things before I comment upon them. I NEVER said dont try. The children involved in this video are all jacked up PC culturists. They accept and agree with everything without even thinking about it. I put it to everyone out there that children are NOT that smart. They look to adults, education system, and society to form their minds and opinions. Children are weak and fragile, it is upto parents and society to fill their minds with true things and not false things. This is the first line from Wikipedia on acupuncture "Acupuncture[note 1] is a form of alternative medicine[3] in which thin needles are inserted into the body.[4] It is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). TCM theory and practice are not based upon scientific knowledge,[5] and acupuncture is a pseudoscience." I thought people would atleast research a bit before asking me to explain myself why we teach kids so and so, but nonetheless I am sorry to have called you a troll. You are just not caught up with the facts yet. Obviously, u did take me seriously enough to give a kind reply, so thank you for that. In NO hospitals will we find an acupuncture department, nor would any medical doctor vouch for it. I suggest you to read the whole wiki article since it explains this carnival scam much more clearly than I can.

I didn’t find this interesting at first but something told me to watch the video. I am now BEYOND interested in this and may look even further into it to see if it could be a good career choice for me. I’m amazed by how interesting it actually is. I’m only 16. Thank you guys and that amazing woman for this video!!!!

My dad had pneumonia 2 years ago. He had surgery and spent months taking medicine to get better. 2 years later, he was still in a lot of pain and doctors couldn't do much else to help. He started going to acupunture and is doing much better now.

Very interesting approach. I do mostly the same with children for auricular acupuncture. If the physician talks to them they start to trust and accept the method. Thank you!

Have the kids met a social worker?? If not they should! Lots of people think social workers just take kids away or give out money but I think that more people should know what we do!! So much is done by social workers!

I just had dry needling done for my knee by an actual medical doctor and he didn’t talk about energy at all. I probably would have walked out if he talked like her. Also it hurts like hell during (felt better after tho).

'Ow, don't do that please' ............ "I can feel peoples energy ." 'what do you mean ?!' "Are you a doctor ? I’m not a physician " " My dad went but it didn't work " These are the take home sentences .You tube hits is not a good enough reason for a well meaning charlatan to push needles into children.
@omikronweapon5 жыл бұрын
I'm not so concerned with the needles bit. I think it's great that the kids experience different people, ideas and viewpoints and step outside comfort zones. I dó question teaching them stuff that really isn't proved, in that same way that they're being thaught stuff that ís.
