man...I would spend forever looking at all the games in there...

I plan on renting a small house somewhere outside of Tokyo for a month this summer, Johnny. I'd be glad pro-rate a room and go out hunting for games and anime. I went in for 10 days last year, it was the best experience of my life. Kid Shoryuken would probably let you plop on his couch too. You have to go to Tokyo while you're still young, Kim will understand ;)

It's hard to give an accurate amount of time that I've spent in shops like this, but forever comes pretty close.

It was a surprise to see this shop at my last day visit to Japan....the day that we met each other 'by accident' at Trader haha :) Only picked up one Dreamcast game, because I spent all the funds in other Retroshops. Beep was closed too at that time. But i had sore eyes from all those spines 'reading' in this shop. Great video as always and it brings me back a little to the greatest place on earth for me :)

I remember going into that place on my Japan Trip. A little cramped but was able to find some good games. The workers were very helpful. If I had more space in my luggage I would have got more. Definitely recommended stop!

Great game shop video as always! All those Famicom guides amaze me! Growing up with the NES, we really didn't get hardly any guides; I don't even think there were that many special issues of Nintendo Power.

My god that place is brimming with games. I always like the small packed stores in Akihabara, a shame some of them have been closed down and turned in to clean big stores.

My girlfriend discovered this place before we went on our trip. It was my favourite. Fair prices, tax free for tourists, great staff and great selection. Picked up a VB, Neo Geo CD & a Saturn there. Saturn only cost me 1600 yen :D

I am quite surprised how expensive the games are locally, many of the games arent that much less than on Ebay

Yep, they've been steadily going up over the past five or six years.

The Xenogears square classics edition. They have two versions of that (Fei and Elly) and they will be things that I will own eventually because even though I don't really collect imports - I'm willing to break that rule for xenogears merchandise. The arcade board of battle garegga is absolutely insane that they would have that in that store. Out of curiosity Jim what are considered some of the biggest top tier super famicom games with regards to price. I guess the super famicom games that constantly go over 100 dollars. I have to admit - this store has an incredible supply.
@MadPanicGaming8 жыл бұрын
Undercover Cops and Wild Guns are two of the most expensive that I know of.

Being that import games are an oddity in Japan, did you ask the store owner why import games are stocked at that store?
@MadPanicGaming8 жыл бұрын
I did not, but I presume they were brought over by people who had been living in the states at one point.
@nintenjoel8 жыл бұрын
Wow, holy crap. I wish we had something like that, here in the states. I know of Pink Godzilla, but that seems like nothing compared to a true import shop. How long hve you lived in Japan? I've gotten REALLY into famicom/super famicom/game boy imports, even am starting to review them. I need a store where I can browse imports for hours!!! Great video.

Yeah, pretty much, but you're right, at least you get to inspect before you buy. I ended up just grabbing a few of the cheaper loose Famicom carts.
