Love how you put a mini video next to the game your talking about. It's a great touch that's much appreciated since most of these games didn't come to the west and will probably never see.

I could spend a solid month or two just walking around all the different shops and arcades in Japan...and that's without taking in anything of culture (outside of nerd stuff). My initial goal was to visit Japan before I was 40...not gonna happen, but if the world isn't complete crap, 45 is a real possibility :)

Fantastic store! I've never played that X-Men game on the SNES. And SNES/SFC is pretty much my favorite system. I'll do my homework and check it out then.

I was actually staying in Shinjuku when I went to Tokyo last year and that Surugaya was awesome. Spent A LOT of money while I was there, well worth it. I certainly found deals elsewhere but got stuff I couldn't find elsewhere there. Glad I can see this and relive my experience. Thanks Jim.

Great choice with the Stardust Speedway Zone 1 in the beginning Jim. One of these days we need to see you driving with a dashcam or with a buddy driving and take video footage of the Tokyo highway with this theme and with Stardust Speedway Zone Act 2 as well. 8^) Anthony.

Ive found that surugaya is has some of the best prices in Tokyo out of the big chain game stores what do you think?

Got a Sega Saturn system and alot of Japanese imported games to go with it!! I got most of the Capcom games, X-men, X-me vs Street Fighter, Cyberbots, Street Fighter Alpha. And yes I got Macross: Do you remember Love? shooter game. Too bad it the Saturn was not successful in the United States, there were so many good games!!

I think this is my first stop in September. Get off plane, go to aki Hotel, catch train to shinjuku, suragaya. I assume prices are better at suragaya/shinjuku than Aki? Then a coffee at the crossing 3 stops away. Will be a nice entree to my stay there.

I’m really interested in subscribing to this channel’s game box service. With that said, I have a few questions for the Patreon members who buy the bi-monthly game box: *What’s the wait/shipping time like?* *Do the games arrive in good, physical condition?* *This is basically the second question again, but how well is the box packaged?* *Have you been satisfied with the games you have received so far?* Thanks in advance to whoever responds!

9:10 I managed to pick up 最後の 忍道 for ¥7,000 on YA JP through Zen Market recently. It in pretty good condition. The case front is scratched up quite a bit but that’s ok. That copy looks like it's in better condition. Which is why it's going for more.

Would love to see a collector market crash, to help bring down prices on those games in the glass cases back to sane prices for those of us who collect, but don't have endless pockets of cash. Because a lot of those games in glass cases there, and in retro game shops in the US, are not rare in the least bit, just stupidly overpriced. At least the 2 boxed Goemon SFC games there are actually nicely priced in this video, though likely common as dirt.
