just came across this but i gotta say I always considered Tales quite unique. The franchise's main themes differ so much from most jrpgs that there are few I'd call similar

@@laphi3018 Rock on! I have seen the Zesty anime while back. It has a special place in my heart because without that I would not have gotten into Tales.

@@Kiefster Ohh that's nice! Next to Zestirias, Symphonia the Animation is one of my favorites (just like the game itself and my first entry into the series) but like them all very much :D

Tales of Arise feels so much more modern than even just previous game. I was finally able to go through one of these games because of it.

Yeah. I say the combat is great. The skits however are a bit hit or miss imo.
