Come across this by chance, lived in south east all my life and tend to go abroad a lot and visit coastal towns in the south but looking at this, I’ve been missing out, the older you get, the more you appreciate peace, quiet, and stunning scenery, definitely gonna go in the spring, having the big C makes you want see beauty like this, great filming btw

Thank you for watching and for your comment, I was very fortunate to have grown up at Kielder.

It’s such a beautiful area and have enjoyed watching your Kielder uploads… thanks. It must be one of the remotest places in England, particularly when you were growing up there? There’s something magical about the place and the huge expanse of forest keep calling me back.

Yes, Kielder was a little remote before the reservoir was built. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching.

Hi Robbie, I enjoyed your video of Kielder, I use to go to the Old school and only spent a year at the new school, but from your video it looks as if the old school been swallowed by the Reservoir.

@@naked-eye-robbieknoxphotog3208 Sorry to say I can't remember but must have known them, I but it down to old age. I can remember the old wooden shop next to the railway line on the way to school.

@@MrMike8228 Yes I remember that shop, I am sure it was owned by Mrs Fletcher, that was where my old Dad used to get his tobacco, as to memory I agree it must be old age as it happens to me often.

@@naked-eye-robbieknoxphotog3208 Lived on Butteryhaugh when I was a kid. Probably about 1953. Went to local primary school. Was the headmistress called Crawford?

@@peterjackson3617 Hi Peter, thankyou for watching the video, you must have attended the "wooden hut" primary school just passed the railway viaduct? The old school is now the changing rooms for Kielder Rugby Club located next to Butteryhaugh.
