Kiely Williams Explains Why it Sounds Like She Has a Lisp on 3LW's No More (Exclusive)

Kiely Williams is opening up to ET’s Deidre Behar about why it sounds like she sings with a lisp on 3LW's hit 2000 single, 'No More.' Despite not having a lisp in real life, Kiely reveals the technical reason behind why the vocal on the song sounds like she does. The 34-year-old singer, who left the spotlight a decade ago to enjoy life away from the spotlight, also reflects on her solo career and how she feels about her tracks ‘Spectacular’ and ‘Make Me a Drink.’ While Kiely confirms she’s not working on any solo music at the moment, she’s currently focused on her new reality series, 'BET Presents The Encore,' which premieres June 9 on BET. The show focuses on former girl group singers who live in a house and try to make music together in 30 days. Alongside Kiely are singers Nivea, Pamela Long from Total, Fallon King and Felisha King from Cherish, Shamari Devoe from Blaque, Lemisha Grinstead and Irish Grinstead from 702 and Aubrey O'Day from Danity Kane.

Way better to be off key than have a lisp. Cher can sing and they auto-tuned her voice in 'I Believe' a year before 3LW formed (1999). So that's what they did with this group, auto-tuned just to auto-tune, a fashion. The same year 3LW's 'No More' was released Madonna did the auto-tune effect with her voice using a "EMS 2000 vocoder to twist the vocals" (different than auto-tune but can hear similar effect) So it was no big deal to do that trick. If Kiely Williams couldn't sing then she wouldn't be in Disney movies. They just don't hire amateurs. Get with it. You're welcome.

I really thought I wouldn’t like kiley on the show but I ended up liking her. She seams much more mature now. Also she is absolutely stunning! Surprisingly I think Kiely makes good TV and I also think she has a very healthy view on the music business and that she clearly doesn't want to do it anymore, and she's very very realistic about her music and also the public's view of her music and it is true people do change.

Well I like Keiley NOW...back then when I was a kid I didn't so much...we.got to realize they was immature teenagers back then. They are grown women now. I like how she embraced the whole lisp thing on the reality show. She made fun of it herself and overall I like her personality on the show. She ain't perfect and there will be moments where she will have to hold her own which may make her say or do things that we won't necessarily agree w. She did some foul stuff when she was younger but now that she's older I see that she learned her lesson. She really ain't that bad the way I thought...and anyway 3LW wasn't going to last too much longer before that fight ANYWAY let's just be real...she has recieved her karma for what she's done so I think everyone should just move on from that incident and give her another chance.
