John Bawle - Co. Longford feeds up to 350 head of cattle annually. He forged a connection with Kiernan Milling when he was disappointed with the performance of bulls on his Longford-based farm; it was later discovered that the animals were suffering from laminitis - one of the main causes of lameness in cattle.
David Magee M.Agri.Sc - Ruminant Nutritionist at Kiernan Milling- inspected the farm and introduced a ration.
John monitored performance by weighing his cattle regularly; he also noticed that lameness reduced dramatically up to three months following the change of diet.
