Oh, my goodness!!! When did actually shoot this video? I was in Kyiv in late August (23 Aug to 2 Sep 2018 to be accurate) and I just absolutely fell in love with Kyiv and Ukraine!!! This video brings back such wonderful memories and how much I just loved being there. My heart was breaking when I got on the plane to head back to Washington, DC, I didn't want to leave. I have to get back to Kyiv and see all these sights again - Rodina Mat, Kiev Pechersk Lavra, St. Sophia, St. Andrews, St. Michaels, to walk to St. Andrews Descent again and see Podil, to sit on Poshtava Square and look at the Dneiper, to walk across the Parkovyi Bridge and walk on Trukhaniv Island. Thank you for posting this video, it brings back such wonderful feelings!!!!

@@m80cze That's why I'm planning to leave the US. My family immigrated here in 1971, I was 4 years old at the time. I have been here for 50 years and I see how far this country has fallen. Back when I was a kid, we were taught to be responsible for ourselves and for our actions. If we wanted a better life, we took the responsibility to go after it. Today, the US is full of morons that are entitled and want everything handed to them. There is no respect for other people and according to them, it's everybody else's fault except theirs. They got fired from their job, it was the supervisors fault or another employee's fault, never mind that they were always late, did crappy work when they did work, but it can't be because they were at fault it had to be someone else's fault. I have grown sick of the stupidity, the entitled mindset, the disrespect for others. I'm not lying, I am working on leaving the US and looking to move to Europe where people actually have brains.

steve94044 , with a bit of difficulty , but yes ! Younger generation often speaks /understands English , many English speaking professionals work in the country . And there are many translating apps )) . I know people from States who visited country on their own, not knowing neither Russian, nor Ukrainian and were ok. In many hotels, restaurants workers know the basic English . All in all, not all Ukrainians know foreign languages , but a good % (esp in big cities) are capable of communicating on basic/ intermediate level . Enjoy ! )))
