I , and I am not lying when I say this. Have been looking for this anime for about 15 years! It was in the darkest recesses of my mind and the only memory/flashback from my childhood that I could remember was a black robot with his brain showing and a fireplace with a scene that was really dramatic. After all this time...I found it. And I thank you for adding it here after all that time ago on Adult Swim. Thank you, kind person.

I remember watching this on Adult Swim way back in the early 2000s!! I don’t remember much about the show itself but I remember enjoying it! The name “Kikaider” just randomly popped into my head the other day.

Hmmm, I feel like they may have glossed over some of the darker elements of Pinnochio. Like I don’t know, him getting hung, him getting Gapeto arrested for child abuse, him turning into a donkey, him killing the cricket, and then getting eaten by a fish.
