This show has amazing writing. Truly insightful and emotional. I wish there were 'kids' shows like this still being done for American kids. Sadly, with our overprotective society focused soley on making money a show that is more on reflection than selling toys is almost unheard of now... :(

Only now I realize just how tragic Golden Bat really is, he comprehends those feelings but he's not able to fully act on them, sounds like true torment, maybe he didn't wanted to fix his Gemini because he was afraid his torment would be greater. But as Jiro develops, he understands how valuable and precious his feelings and conscience really are, even if they cause him pain.

I've seen some bad dubs but this guy right here does it so well, that I have no desire to see it in the original japanese. He's an android and he's messing with her head with logic. Logic which is pretty cruel but true at the same time.

giving a robot is free will is not bad. it is a gift. kikaider's creator wanted not to create a mindless machine but a being, capable of thinking and choosing for itself. he wanted to give him the capabilities of a human. gold bat should stop complaining about his conscience circuit. if he does not like how he feels when doing bad things he should stop doing them.
