yes, thank you. That's exactly the answer i was looking for. thank you! i actually figured it out via trial & error, so i am about 1/2-way done w/this scarf. i'm very happy w/it, and thank you again for the easy-to-follow tutorial. some people go way too fast, and it's too hard to understand/see what they are doing, but you go at a very nice learning speed. :)

Do you count the very first loop that is created from the slip stitch as stitch #1? Or do you start counting when you make the second loop from the slip stitch loop? thanks. i'm obviously somewhat of a beginner. (Oh, and beautiful scarf. very excited about making it.)

Hello, Lynda and thank you very much!! Is your question about the beginning chain that we start our work with? If so, the beginning knot that we start with never counts as a chain stitch, the chain that you make after that counts as the first one.
