I wasn’t crazy! I was like “was Hitogawari an original song written by Kikouhana together?” But then I realized things like Hikari yo were originally vocaloid songs and I was on the hunt for this thanks for uploading it!

@@HazbinHotelgurl-u1p They’re not originally vocaloid songs. Kikuo has confirmed in an email that this version was made sometime after 2020 and not with the original 2016 release.

i love how the instrumental of the verison is remastered. you can hear it in the slight distortions in the opening piano, the small echos in the background in the opening instrumental, the ripping sounds in the main chorus. its small changes, but i like it a lot

it's been here for awhile, i was (and still am) not satisfied with the quality since the audio is still unclean but if a flac version of it has the same issues then i guess it's acceptable enough to put out for archiving

To sum it up it's about the volatility of old storage media (specifically vinyl) + old media in general along with the reasons why the vinyl was created the way it is. But I just found it funny that he specifically mentioned ripping/uploading with the intentions of preservation but like... As someone who has absolutely no knowledge on how to properly rip vinyl records and known for preserving old Kikuo works I think I did a mediocre job so that's why I'm keeping it unlisted. Though to be fair I'm pretty sure we were all kind of expecting me to rip it anyways, so I'm leaving this up in advance if I ever manage to find a better way to rip it in a better quality. I do have the original audacity files if you're willing to try your hand at cleaning up from the recording quality (and wrong speed) I have right now.

This was ripped by myself back in March 2023 the moment I got a record player, but I kept it unlisted since I didn’t bother to fix the audio. There’s a rip of the entire vinyl floating on the internet, but it appeared that they didn’t fix it either despite offering a lossless version of their rip so I said fuck it and made this public.
