Nah Legolas never Loved Tauriel, they had more of a friendly relationship. Just because he said he would die for her doesn't mean he loves her in a romantic way. Remembered that he said a similar thing in lord of the rings when gimli was threatened. He is just a very noble elf with a strong morality that he is ready to die for.

Legolas und Tauriel oder Kili und Tauriel. Ich hatte Tränen in den Augen, aber nicht, weil Kili gestorben ist, sondern weil Tauriel Legolas das Herz gebrochen hat. Ich meine, sie kannte Legolas verdammte 800 Jahre, und dann kommt Kili, sie sprechen einmal miteinander, und schon ist es angeblich "the one and only true love".
