I didn't thought much or raptures until I did the Raptilion side quest, and when he asked that simple question "Who fired the first shot ?" I was suddently reminded of the geth story in mass effect where it turns out the senseless killing machines were just defending themselfs, and the fact is that raptures have accepted and protected Raptilion while knowing he's not a rapture, so now, I look forward for when we will learn more about the raptures
