The Lich isn't death, he is the end of all, The embodiment of Evil, he doesn't wait for you to die, he just kills you. Kinda like the heat death of the universe but with a physical form.

There's something else about the Beast that you forgot to mention. He can possess people. The wolf and the Beast have the same eyes because he had claimed control over him thanks to the turtles. And had Wirt accepted his offer, he would've possesed him becoming Beast Wirt and becoming essentially immortal. Why do you think he said "come here"?

The Lich actually represents the conceptual embodiment of evil. Catalyst comets as a whole don't normally exist as concepts but in the Lich and finn's case since they already embodied concepts (i.e good and evil) that's what they were supposed to be presented as

Lich ain't death, there's literally a death in adventure time who isn't him. And he's the end not death, death would leave your body behind while Lich would want to erase you completely. Death comes when people die, the lich comes to hunt.

Nah he’s definitely a villain, and I think the reason why can actually be summed up in this dialogue: “I find the very idea of nine lives absurd-and you didn’t value any of them. So, why don’t I do us both a favor and take this last one now?” “That’s cheating-“ *”Shhh… don’t tell.”* Death is breaking his own rules and tormenting Puss in Boots because of his hatred for him. If that’s not a villain, idk what is.

I've never seen Over the Garden Wall, so I'll leave myself out of that. For the Lich, I honestly think he isn't a personification of Death (especially since there *is* a death in that show already.) The Lich is moreso an apocalyptic ending of life, a doomsday or existence ending force, rather than just being a being of Death. Death from Puss in Boots, while we don't get to see him interact with anyone else but Puss, does certainly fit the role of Death, not good, not benevolent until the very end at least, a more vengeful force that steps outside of his role because Puss cheats death and takes it for granted. Moreso like trying to teach him a lesson compared to being a natural force. As best of a character they could make him I think of the three (two I guess since I haven't seen OtGW still) Puss in Boots has the best representation of Death. Adventure Time does still have an actual Death character, so if we compared that to Death in Puss in Boots I'd need to think it over though, though I guess it depends on the version from AT as well, lol.

Honestly bill doesn’t represent death to me, he more like represents chaos of life itself The lich is literally a decaying rigor mortis corpse thats the embodiment of the end of all life and creation and would probably oppose the lich’s plan because it would involve killing bill himself and his kingdom of nightmare monsters, bill wants the madness and party to never end, the Lich *wants* everything to end, bringing them into conflict I think he takes the cake

I’m conflicted when it comes to the lich and the wolf death, my conflicting feelings are mostly about what I saw both of them do, we actually see the lich kill and on a massive scale, the wolf however…we saw how good of a fighter he is and how he instills fear, he’s a (hope I’m using this word correctly) Omnipotent being but other than that…we only ever see him attempt to reap one person, he doesn’t have any powers besides that ring of fire he made in his final fight. I do believe he’s actual death like he says but until I see him actually reap…it just “word of mouth”

The lich and the beast are not death. They are killers. Lobo is a good representation but death doesn't rip you from the mortal coil personally. It watches and waits for you to come to it. Death has no vengeance or hatred when it takes you. If anything it would feel for you. My personal favorite is the tall woman with the big hat. Death in my eyes would be a woman, a caring mother waiting to embrace you for the last lullaby. There was this man who was out Isolated in a camp in the woods it was cold, cold enough to kill you. He said he seen the woman at his camp as he was freezing and she offered to take him. The man refused and she walked away. He realized he was freezing to death and managed to save himself.

I think Lobo works because he’s not just death incarnate, but death personified. He normally stays in his lane and acts as a mere force of nature (as he should), but his hatred for Puss in Boots pushed him over the edge and so he makes an exception and breaks his own rules to seek revenge on an individual who had mocked him.

The beast is easely is the best villian in my opinion, but he's not death, he's the devil, he lures you in with false promises and munipulates you arther than just overpowering and killing you Litch is good but he dosent fit the role of death, he's the FEAR of death, just look at his encounters with everyone else and then finn, everyone fears him, but finn kicks his arse on daily basis, he's not afraid to die Death... He fucking suck,i dont like him
