I love it how Tarantino knows how to make a villain (or well a character in general really) so likeable regardless of the motifs they are holding, challenging the audience to decide whether or not they eventually get what they deserve. And in the end, it's not really as much about the justice brought, but rather about the tragedy and the conflict itself. You just sort of watch the movie, discover what are the intentions of every character and suddenly you realize you'd probably do the same thing if you were in their skin. Because they do the _right_ thing to do. Bill had a perfect reason to have Beatrix dead; and so did Beatrix have a perfect reason to deliver her vengeance. What a masterpiece of cinema.

DeepSea King That is the interesting thing about Quentin; you regard him as a creator of satirically negative characters, I personally don't find any of his antagonists comedic or even inherently evil. Who would have the *genius* to think of mixing this amazing track that's inspired by old American Western music, with a beautiful anime sequence from Japan? Quentin Tarantino would. What an awesome score! Especially after seeing the film, this piece of music gives me an even more intense feeling of...I don't know what! It's just good music! My hat certainly goes off to Luis Bacalov for this awe-inspiring piece of music.

AGREED! There are a few others I could add to that list; Guy Ritchie's movie *"Snatch"* has an amazing soundtrack that just nails the atmosphere and the theme of the movie. The original version of *"The Wicker Man"* (not the absolutely horrible Nicholas Cage remake) is one of the best of all the horror & suspense movies of the `70s (IMO), and the *amazing* soundtrack helped re-popularize folk in England according to some. *"The Graduate"* is another classic (and a best-selling soundtrack too), *"Trainspotting"*, and more recently, both *"Kill Bill"* movies...all great soundtracks!!
@bveracka8 жыл бұрын

What Mr Pink said. The movies were made by and for European audiences who also loved American Westerns. The style of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns also aimed for a more gritty and human approach to the Western genre rather than an idealistic romanticized version usually propagated in most John Ford Westerns.

One song can paint a picture, say a million words, set free a flock of dreams. Let loose a symphony of imagination, a deep and foreboding urgency to a most dreadful task that must be undertaken…

***** She was skilled enough to take down all of her old colleagues, and probably a few hundred others, give or take. So yeah, in the movie's context she was THAT skilled.

This part of the movie was just amazing. I feel like it could have gone deeper. Great animation and backstory to O-Ren.
