When I did this and me and Hakon fought, I thought I killed him so I quit my game and googled what I did wrong. Turns out I’m a fucking idiot and all I had to do was exit the church for him to pop back up so I could talk him out of a third fight. I’m a stupid bastard sometimes.

I'd say that since he arrived in the city some of the quests I did, in the end he ended up punched in the face before fighting against someone you didn't agree to help or... For everyone saying they cannot save Hakon, I think to get the best possible outcome you need to first remove the arrow from Hakon, then later on side with frank in the tower mission, then go meet Frank and you have the option to talk about Lawan and the night runners creed and how balance is important. I chose to fight Hakon when he first appeared in the church, I defeated him, however before leaving the church he’s still alive and you have the chance to fight him again (This fight would result in his actual death). To spare him chose “I don’t want to fight anymore”. Lawan shows up and You have to then convinced her to spare him. She then allows him to leave. From what I understand this allows her to join the night runners (which she always wanted) as she finally achieved the balance that Frank was talking about. I’m guessing if Hakon chooses to hit Lawan and leg it it’s probably because you didn’t talk to Frank about the night runners and Lawan. Hope this helps guys!

I think Hakon hitting Lawan is the result of not giving Frank the tower.. because I've done everything just like here which lawan becomes a night runner and hakon comes back

If your doing the night runner story quest then it’ll happen if you left him to die earlier. If you gave the tower to Matt and your doing the side quest then he’ll always hit lawan
