We dive back into the Osiris Conflict with another episode of Warhammer 40k Kill Team. Today the Death Korps of Krieg Veteran Guardsman take on the Ork Greenskins in a narrative matchup.

A couple small rules bits, I think you were having AP give -1 to the save characteristic but kill team removes a die for each AP. And during melee, you cannot parry a crit with 2 normal strikes like you can with shooting attacks. Cool bat rep regardless, looking forward to seeing what other factions you bring into the narrative.

Great work! I love the little snippets that come through of teaching games to a kid. There's always so much to learn in these games, but the two of you seem to have done a great job of it. I would still love a video about playing/teaching your son to hobby with you!

Great stuff. As always, I appreciate you leaving all the mistakes you make in the video and then explaining them. It certainly helps me with learning the rules. I have my first game of KT in two weeks, hopefully I'll have time to go through the rulebook again a few times before then.

One thing to keep in mind is how lethal melee is now. Best case: Injured enemy that will die in one hit > enemy that will die in one hit > injured enemy > full health enemy. Otherwise, only charge in to prevent someone from shooting/overwatch.

Love your stuff, but I gotta chime in on the narrative side. Krieg guardsmen don't have names, they have serial numbers. They need to do some especially heroic stuff to receive a name, and most that do often receive it post-humously - an actual name is like the ultimate medal for them. Of those that survive getting a name, most are usually in high command.

Very cool! I guess they are more krieg models and I refer to them that way. The book says to name them and gives a list of combinations. Great to know though and very cool lore!

We’ve tried a dice tray and it just didn’t work. Like the camera would go out of focus. I probably need a simpler one than what I used. Noted!

Awesome game, glad to see the veterans on the field as it is my main kill team ^^ if you agree i would like to point out some things i saw, which may be redundant to other comments : - Sniper should deal 3 Mortal wounds due to his critical on turn 1 Edit: you did it right on turn 2, but you should also count the damage from the crit, i.e 2x6s = 12 Damage - if one player has more than one activation left than his opponent, that opponent can do overwatch shots :) -when then the hardened Veteran loses a wound, it rolls à dienfor each wound, i.e if he loses 4 wounds, he rolls 4 dice Edit : it seems you made ot correctly on turn 3 :) - if i saw correctly, you shot into a melee. (Sniper --> Boss on turn 3). Not sure if you are allowed to do that . - Cover only applies when the target is within 1" from the cover terrain ( spotter --> Grudd on turn 3)

13:08 the 6 MW are resolved immediately after the attacker retains the crits. Then after the defense step all the attack die that are not blocked are resolved like normal, including those crits. I believe thats another 2 dmg per crit. So those 2 unblocked crits should have done 10 dmg total.

On those Feel No Pains, you roll a die for each wound you take, including Mortal Wounds, to my understanding.

correct me if i am wrong, but at the moment grog was taken out of action, would'nt grog have not gotten the benefit of cover since he was clearly more than an inch away from any applicable cover there for was completely in the open?

Hey ya'll, a quick tactics question. At around 6.40m you're resolving saves on an Orc. He saved one dice from cover and rolls a 5 and 2. Would it have been better to use the double norm saves to cancel the crit and take the normal hit?

also would have been better to try and blow off that orks head with a shooting attack rather than a melee even to hold him from advancing, because he clearly moved in anyways. that would have been at the least been 3 mortal wounds for the crit and most likely death because ork armor saves are not great. huge missed opportunity there with an extra activation of a guy when needed to remove someone with artillery support.

You've misplayed the AP mechanics. It substracts the defence, not armour save.

Why are you using critical success rolls to parry normal hits when you have other successful rolls, keep the crits for your hits
