Very much liking the versatility of the GL in Vet Guard. Having Krak for heavy targets and Frag for hordes/targets in cover is really nice. Sniper is the absolute mvp for me - staying concealed is just so powerful.

Is they're any reason not to take every specialist you can? If you don't want the demo guy because it's not your vibe, I get that. But there's no reason beyond that not to take him right?
@3StoWound2 жыл бұрын
For sure! Max out your specialists, but between them and your gunner options you will have to drop some guys. The only time for me I would take any regular lasgun guys on the roster is for the ancillary support.

@@3StoWound thank you for the reply. I played my first real game today and now I get it. It didn't click on my mind at first that there were more specialists than I had slots lol. That being said, the idea I have for my demo guy now that I know how he works is to use the coms veterans signal ability to give the demo an extra apl, then he can run out of cover, throw his mine, run back with the free dash and then have a left over ap to detonate. I think that could be a really cheeky way to take out a marine that strays too close.

Great stuff, man! I’m slowly building/converting my VetGuard right now. I live behind the 8 ball 😂 I have a box of Les Grognards from wargames Atlantic and I’m pairing those bodies with the Krieg arms to fill out the roster. Love all the tools VetGuard has. Still really enjoying my Scions, but time to dip my toe into the bespoke stuff!

I have the Tau and Noviates staring at me with sad eyes too….. the work is never done. Smart way to fill out your roster too. I’ll have to look into it, looks like an expensive nightmare to get a second set of the current Krieg models!!

I just can't rate flamers. It's so easy to break the torrent by keeping a concealed operative (say, a medic) behind the guy you want to engage the flamer.
@3StoWound2 жыл бұрын
I definitely have regrets with the flamer. Lucky the model looks cool, I’m on the hunt for more models to build up the Grenade Launcher and Melta options that’s for sure!

Is it me, or did you only do the leader and 8 troops before talking about those not making the cut? Veteran sergeant, Sniper, Gunner, Gunner, Zealot, Medic, Comms, Hardened, and Spotter. Then those that didn't make the cut: Bruiser, Demolitions, and Confident.
@3StoWound2 жыл бұрын
I may have forgotten how to count! Definitely add the confidant in there, the more I played the more I realised how important he is. He lets you be a lot more aggressive with your leader and the plasma pistol he carries without fear of losing your orders ability when he dies. Keep the confidant back and safe and he will keep your team on track.

great content, entertaining. One thing you can do to avoid the need to choose the specialists before even building the minis...is to magnetized them. in general, one magnet per arms, one for the head and you are good to go, then you can gear them up differently for each fight ^^

It's a shame that some of the equipment items aren't in the kill team box for these guys. Super annoying how the equipment items aren't labelled in the building guide. Nothing that ressembles a rosary or hotshot capacitor pack.

Yeah, I guess they do that so you aren't stuck with the equipment you model them with, as equipment loadouts can change game to game. Thematically though I am with you!!

Hi there. We're rather new to Kill Team, but I (I've to play Krieg Veterans) love to field the Confident. As you already mentioned, this team relies on the commands of his Leader, a fallback choice isn't the worst. BUT this is not how I try to play the Confident. I use him in the first line, together with the 4 extra support Guardsman and one other heavy weapon operater. This gives me a 6 men team I can move with 3 orders! And this is really nice to take and hold objectives/positions early. Originally I wanted to arm the Confident with the Bolter Rifle, but that's not possible (the arms you need to that are only included once, and you already need them to build the heavy weapons operators. So I armed him with the Bolter gun and the Chain Sword...not my first choice, but ok. More important is the team up you choose. The Melter or the Plasma Gun is a good choice. Or for Close Combat the Bruiser/Hardened Veteran. I like to use those 6 to move in quick and take the risk to loose a few of them. But this gives my opponent a first line he has to chew through. The other 8 support from behind, especially the Sniper, the Spotter and the Grenade Launcher Veterans.

my opinion on what characters to pick is magnetise your options. 4 to 8 1 mm x 2 mm magnets and you got a figure that can be two or three different setups. if you want to go next level you can ad one at the belt line and one to every piece of equipment. did this with a set of skitarii (hunter clade) and the tau in the chalnath box and will be working on the sisters next. and to complete my hunter clade a set of infiltrator/ruststalkers eventually. great video again.
@3StoWound2 жыл бұрын
The actual best way to pick characters for sure! How did you find the whole process of magnetising smaller miniatures? I am always worried I will make a complete mess of it!
@moodyminis98962 жыл бұрын
@@3StoWound honestly all you need is patience. Get a hobby drill (pin vise) and take your time during assembly to make sure the magnets line up OK (doesn't need to be perfect) and if your just glueing them give it plenty time to dry properly (I was to impatient first time around and keept pulling the magnets back out by accident) same applies if your going the green stuff way but I haven't tried that yet but il have to for the sister superior soon enough. And honestly the joy I got once the first model was completed was definitely worth it.
@3StoWound2 жыл бұрын
@@moodyminis9896 Patience?!?! Oh no…… but seriously it definitely seems worth it, especially with all the bespoke teams coming out, having to “miss out” on operatives because of it is no fun.
