Don't forget do not apply if temps are 85 or above. Apply early morning or evening as the temp come down.

Instead of the baby shampoo can I use the SouthernAG surfactant for herbicides?
@brAnd7onX87 Жыл бұрын
Yes that is even better.

Great stuff and those dollar weeds suck,,, I have found I actually like to do a odd blending of the 2 weed killers on my st Augustine full dose of one and a 1/2 dose of the other then next spraying reverse it

This vs vinegar and salt mix vs weed pulling?

Hi. I got another quick question. How many times do you think I need to treat the lawn a how often (to get rid of the weed)? Is it something like once a week for a month?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
Treat your lawn as needed. The initial treatment may take the longest time, then check it weekly.

Hi do you have any experience with the Roundup quikpro ? Just wondering... Will it kill the grass?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
My understanding is it's glyphosate based which many St. Augustine grasses cannot handle. The only possible exception would be ProVista St. Aug which is relatively and comparatively new. But even that is dependent on heat, drought, stress, disease, and insect pressure.

What's your opinion of Tenacity? Is it better than atrazine?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
My understanding is Tenacity is only labeled for use on St. Augustine grass that is grown on sod farms. It cannot be used on St. Augustine in residential lawns. Blindside is labeled to treat crabgrass in residential St. Augustine lawns. I don't use Tenacity so i don't have first-hand knowledge. Those types of herbicides may require a backpack sprayer.

@@thesuburbanhomenut1183 thanks so much for your reply. How can i tell what kind of grass i have? I don't know if i have St. Augustine. If i email you a picture of it, would you be able to identify?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
@@aniyahudi It would be best to contact your local extension service to identify your grass. St. Aug has thick blades of grass, while Bermuda is thinner. Both have stolens for growth. I'm not an expert on all types of grasses and can only give you the knowledge I have for my type of grass, which is St. Aug.

Should i move the lawn first? Or is it good for weed to be grown when applying this?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
By move, I think you mean mow? If so, it's good to mow before putting down a post-emergent, which is liquid. Liquid herbicide is used after you see the weeds. Granular is a pre-emergent that should be put down in the late Fall and Winter.

Hi. Would same thing apply in Florida? I'm just afraid if i buy a weed killer that is not designed for Florida grass, it may kill the grass?
@thesuburbanhomenut1183 Жыл бұрын
The 2 main herbicides here in FL are 2,4-D and Atrazine. Atrazine can be used on St. Augustine safely. I believe 2,4-D is safe for Bermuda, but you may want to check. "FL grass" is too broad as there are many kinds.
