I did a little calculation - the parade was 9km. How many times that distance did Coach Shima (and other teachers) walk and run to hand out water and supervise the band in and out, back and forth, top to bottom? 5x does not seem an unreasonable guess. So 45km in 2.5 hours... that is close to Elite level fitness for women, and in a suit!!

著作権に関する私的意見について(企業で知的財産の部署で働いた経験から述べます) 著作権法の理念は、著作権者以外が著作物を使用することにより、著作権者が不利益を被らないことにあります。これを踏まえて、高校生のチームがパレードで他人の著作物を演奏したからと言って、著作権者にどの様な不利益があると言うのでしょうか？また、高校生のチームがパレードで著作物を演奏しても利益など得ていません。これらのことを考えれば、著作権協会は法律を盾にして利益を得ている様にしか見えません。長文失礼しました。

あくまで個人の感想ですがKZbinは著作権絡みで無音になる動画が山のようにあります。 これはもうここの仕様というか構造そのものなので、動画を上げる人は引っ掛かりそうなのを削除したり音だけ敢えて無音にしたり 他のBGMにしてる等なものはさんざん見てきました。 動画内の団体がどうの以前の話と、上げた人がこれは切っといたほうが良いとなれば(ほかの動画者の同タイミングではそこに音があったとしても)やむを得ない気はします。

Very good point. Some organizations and copyright lawyers seem to think the principle use of copyright is to _prevent_ anyone seeing or hearing the work unless they are a paid subscriber. See the F.I.G. (gymnastics federation) policy on broadcasting events - my guess is 90% of the population have never hear of Acrobatic Gymnastics and how amazing it is. The FIG's goal seems to be to make that 100% (unless they pay).

みんな好き勝手に給水したらそれこそ隊列も演奏もばらばらになってしまいますよ。本人たちも大変ですし見てる方も気分良いものではありません。 沿道にたくさんのサポートスタッフがいます。そこでタイミング見計らって取りに行く今の状態がベストだと考えます。

You got some awesome shots of the wonderful Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band at the Rose Parade and I would say "great coverage", except I'm not sure you were supposed to actually be 'in' the parade... Odd that none of the white-suited officials had a problem with your presence and it was left to the Tachibana director to shoo you out of the way... Still, you were nowhere near as intrusive as some of the Taiwanese press who were all over the Tachibana players like flies [literally in the middle of the band during the performance!] when they did a street parade in Taipei. So, yeah, 3 out of 5 stars for getting cool shots while being a nuisance.

今年度よりローズパレード出場における著作権関連の規約がとても厳格なものになりました。また、バンドのテーマソング的な曲を除いては、同じ曲を演奏することもNGとなりました。今年度もシングを除いては全て演奏曲は刷新されることになります。
