When I was doing pits I always preferred the long draw last! Gave me more time to do a tasty finish on the pit. Ther was no help from anyone else those days! All the best with the new machine.

I drive a loading shovel in a quarry and the joystick steering is a game changer,I can honestly say I'm not half as tired after a shift when you get used to the joystick you won't even think about what you're doing your hands are just working without you realising Best of luck with It 👍

ive just seen another one on another video. he was using the streering wheel. small world. but you definately have that option on the streering.

I have bother with my hips aswel Adam,and spend my working life driving machines. I find wearing the seatbelt helps massively, keeps u pinned in the seat so that it takes the shocks rather than your body. Great addition to the fleet.

What a beast of a machine, I've been pushing up silage for 25+ years and drove the CAT988 stick steer in Australia and just can't imagine using it on a pit!! But I did think id never get used to it at the time and eventually loved it, I just feel like you wouldn't have the right control on the edges

We’ve actually got on to it a lot faster than we were expecting to. It’s a great job! the sides haven’t been an issue for us at all so far.. the set up on the jcb gives you a lot of control and where it’s sensitive, there’s been some pits that the boys have said they think it’s rolled sides better

A great idea not to be turning a steering wheel the whole time. I gave years putting up silage with a CAT910 and then more years driving a 120 VOLVO in a sand pit. I'm paying the price for that now with golfers elbow in my left arm. By the way I never played golf, hadn't time. Thank's Lorraine.

I used to drive a Deere 844k loader in Australia few years back and it had joystick steering. A lot quicker at loading roadtrains and I would not go back to using a steering wheel after getting the hang of the joystick steering

Thanks Jason! We had a demo from Volvo last year - it was an LH70 that was traded in from another NI customer but we were looking for a 110. JCB only have lever steer in a prototype shovel over at their factory so on this occasion we bought it totally blind without any test drives or demos. Had no idea how it was going to come but JCB were unbelievable to deal with. We were in contact with them throughout and they kept us in the loop every step of the way. I know 🙈 still shocked I was allowed near it 😂😂
