I remember going to my local skating rink as a kid and before you entered the door I heard "HYPER COMBO" I immediately ran over to the crowd that was playing KI

That was thanks to Midway's DCS sound system. Dan Forden (the composer/audio director for the Mortal Kombat games) helped to design the sound systems for Midway arcade machines in the '90s. It's always interesting reading about people's memories with arcade games. We never had Killer Instinct arcade machines in Asia. I envy anyone who had the chance to play a Killer Instinct arcade machine back in the day.

Great work on this video! I actually learned quite a bit about the new KI! I've played the game but I'm so bad at fighting games with the controller so I just kind of stopped playing. I never knew the part about the combo breakers and what the "X" meant above my character. You've inspired me to try the new KI again.

Thanks for watching! MadCatz released a TE2 Killer Instinct arcade stick when the Xbox One launched, but it was very expensive. I recommend checking out the Hori Fighting Stick alpha. Hori arcade sticks are easily customizable. You can replace the buttons, the joystick ball top with a bat/oval top etc. 8Bitdo is good too, but it's a wireless arcade stick.

Thanks for watching. Killer Instinct is also available as a free to download on Steam PC, but I personally recommend playing the game on the Xbox Series X|S.

I know I'm getting my hopes up high here but...hopefully xbox will maybe one day port killer instinct to the switch and if not maybe for the ps4/ps5
