I lived in Orlando for several years, I know how it could be. However, the parameters for manslaughter aren’t the same for murder, and since it was easier to win, I had a gut feeling she would lose, and frankly, whether the verdict came down the way it should, we all still knew she was guilty. She’s aged so much! Worry and guilt has been eating away at her daily. It wasn’t worth it AT ALL! She should’ve been the wiser one in this situation and tried to gain the respect from the lady. They don’t have any case law to support a legal strategy of self defense. Not much any defense attorney could do because the police interview is irrefutable proof of her admitting to shooting her through a door. She is a Karen but not a smart Karen. A smart Karen would have not killed the mother but just spoke to the mother about her children trespassing. When an adult angrily addresses children directly the children do not respect the adult because the adult already demonstrated they are childlike and easily triggered. That is why adults should only address the parents. If that does not work after 3 tried then you call social services or the police.
