The thing with El is that he have never tried to be nothing but himself, like a white guy who raps and produces. I think that and some other factors is why he never broke thru even as an amazing producer into the indrusty that is still problematic with rap and whites on indrusty level. Because El have been going off since 90's and knows so many people who broke thru and still somehow there was Zero intrest in him. Like I get it in terms of him doing very Aesop type of cryptic writing (they have songs together and Aesop is also one of a kind producer and rapper)(got a bit love from indrusty with Impossible Kid but that's about it) and all that but he was already in Company Flow clearly the strongest link all the way and proves he can ofc write with not being so cryptogrammick. So there is legit A Lot in the indrusty of how do we present this white guy who acts white.. so he never got picked up. The talent level can be off the charts and these guys living off of crumbs with massive workload. He put so much effort into Cancer 4 Cure and it not doing a dent for anything happening than his ug status just going up, so it was kinda a point he was ready to quit. The production is craaazy in that album, I used to listen it religiously when it came out. Then Mike was kinda at somewhere in the same place, not as set on quitting but close. So Run The Jewels was kinda a hail mary of ok let's take this amazing production and just clown on the beat without being so dense with lyrics and showcase the flows with funny lines. Because Mike's solos had that strong political angle so he also never got picked up like that. It very much so was dumb it down for masses and it worked immmidiatelly. Just very glad especially that El-P got it after putting decades of work and left in the sidelines (because again, it's just so baffling that his production alone didn't put him into the big leagues).

Because he knows that isn't right that it's not really fair LP as a Caucasian rapper has been in the game forever and makes dope beats!!! His Beats are phenomenal, almost every album that they do together the beasts are just bananas. And he is a lyricist and a damn good one at that so yeah it's really insane that he has not got in his flowers and been treated with the respect the he most certainly puts into the game he has no issues with giving people props that are killing it and he doesn't act like he isn't getting acknowledged like he should be. Which is the right way to approach it but there are rappers or whatever the hell you want to call them jelly roll Machine Gun Kelly I mean there are so many horrible white rappers and then you have this country rap BS!! I could go on and on it's just insane. But you know what he doesn't need to sweat it because real recognize real and I'm sure he's happy because he loves Hip Hop clearly he loves music!! And obviously Killer Mike loves Jamie and I think it's a beautiful thing!! Anyway I'm going to stop bitching it's just that this particular topic frustrates me weather be this particular situation or other situations I hate it when Justice isn't served for lack of a better phrase Peace

@kyleknock9550 it must be where we from. I can roll Krit all day. I've only heard R.A.P Music and RTJ the others I haven't. The beats aren't my speed. I prefer the laid back melodic tone of Krit. His newest album Digital Roses is his weakest imo but it's also him just trying something different. For me Mike is what makes their albums good and he can roll on top of El-P beats. Not many can but almost anyone can rap on a Krit beat. He's just my preference for sure.
